I tried to record video of some incidents in last race but was not able to do what I used to do in rF1. Why some important replay keys and their functions changed from rF1? 1. Pressing "Enter": - in rF1 just toggles overlay - in rF2 toggles overlay and switches the view to cockpit camera on selected car. This is not good! If I want to move track-side camera to custom location for a video or screenshot capture and then press "Enter" to toggle overlay, I loose my custom camera position! 2. "Space": - in rF1 toggles stop/run replay - in rF2 does nothing. How I suppose stop/run replay with keys? 3. Arrow keys. - in rF1 when pressed (and released) Arrow key runs replay - in rF2 only holding down Arrow key runs replay, when released replay stops. Why change something to which we were used in last years? 4. Tab key in rF2 does not show car labels, so no way to tell who is running where in a pack of cars.
Have you looked in the settings to see how the keys are mapped? You know that you can change things if needed, right?
Have you looked at control settings? Or are you just posting stuff you don`t know? There is no "start/stop replay" key to map there. And why are you suggesting key mappings at all? Other than my point 2) about "space" key, control mappings have nothing to do with my points! Its functions thats assigned to them in code that are wrong.
I think that the cam editor should be incorporated into the main games replay system, this way you could create your own cams and save them for later use. It would also allow others to create full track cam packs and easily share them within the community, just my 2 cents.
Great thread Nibo! I was going to open a similar new one. Than i saw yours. I noticed all that things and also the fact that the custom skins are not viewed on replays (except in a few isolated cases). (!!!) There is no more way to zoom your swingman camera. (!!!) I also think that Isi should add an other camera velocity on moving. D)
The replay system is a total mess currently. The new information at top was a small step in the right direction but everything else is still far away from being useful. Not to mention that only custom skins of some cars are showing since the last 2 builds (EVE working, Spark not for example).
Funny, I have my space mapped to changing camera and it works fine in replay. I have the default setup for the camera controls and I can adjust the swingman camera left and right as well as zoom in and out. I do have the same thing happen as you guys though with the enter key, takes me to cockpit and removes the UI
I'm going to take a look at some of these issues today, particularly the Enter key thing. However, I can't promise it will be in the next build which is still working its way through testing.
I think somebody might need to give me a bit more info on how to reproduce this. My first try, the Spark worked just fine. Is this happening to replays of single-player or multiplayer races (or both)? Is it really car-specific? And if so, please give me one specific car (including relevant details like class and/or number) that doesn't work. Thanks for any help here.
I can not watch replay to see car numbers, because our last league race was 2 weeks ago on old version of Meganes and I don`t have it anymore. But I remember that 2-4 players in our last 3 races with Meganes online were with custom skins. But in replays I never seen their skins. Our next race is this Thursday. I`ll try post an update then.
In my replay of the 1h hour testrace for the endurance race, another car is driving my custom skin and my car is using someone else's cars custom skin.
Hi Terence, I experience the issue with the 60s F2 in multiplayer sessions, and I can confirm that it happens with the spark. Always!
So, with Megane v1.44 same thing. 3 from 11 ppl on server had custom skins. No custom skins visible on replays.
