No, not from this distance. Besides, clip plane would clip everything, not just one selected object. Dissapearing objects are usually related to incorrect LodIn / LodOut settings, material transparency settings or error in bounding box of a 3d model (unlikely).
Well LodIn/Out settings are same as all other meshes in the scene, material settings are pretty much same as windows/badges etc i.e src alpha/inv src alpha. But I'm completely new at rFactor modding so I really don't have a clue.
Ok while playing around I noticed it seemed to disappear when a shadow intersected over it, so I used shader T1 no shadows, and it works fine now.
