FWD Cars

Pretty much as the thread title explains, It would be nice to have a front wheel drive car to run.

 

So far I don't think we have any FWD cars licensed (though I could be wrong, some things were licensed before I came along and aren't built yet)... I'll certainly keep it in-mind though.

 

The Clio Cup car is FWD, but is not out yet.

 

TBH I was surprised not to see Clio Cup as a mod in the Beta's first release. Seems ISI has a partnership of some sort with Renault and Clio cup is a popular RL series and is a popular mod for rF1 and other sims.

 

There are multiple licenses with Renault, but there are with many other competing brands now, too. I'm not sure on the timeline for the Clio release, it's possible we may try to spread that out a bit so people don't think rF2 is a Renault simulation.

Exactly my point, before long people will start saying that is what the "r" stands for.

 

I prefer thinking "r" stands for Renault insted of RWD...

 

We need some FWD and AWD (With proper Diff) cars in rFactor2, not only RWD. I really miss the old Rhez06 & Lienz.

 

+1 as I'm good at driving FWD (well, better then RWD anyway...)

 

Don't forget though, while ISI doesn't plan to release any FWD cars anytime soon, mod groups will want to at some stage. Heck, even I have some I plan to release in the future. So yeah a FWD ability would be a great addition in the future.
