Hi All, I am just wondering, when you got to series selection in the game and choose all vehicles and tracks, the thumbnail is of loads of grey rendered cars. You know, the ones ISI released as wallpapers a long time back. I am curious, as these are obviously all cars which have been modeled by ISI, would it be realistic to assume we will see these cars in the sim at any point in the future? Thanks! Tim did say they will always be working on things for rF2, even after it goes gold, so there is a good possibility that all of those cars will make it into the sim at some point in the future.
I count that we allready have 9 (10 if you include the rTrainer, which is available, but only in devmode officialy) out of 18 cars displayed there. That makes me believe that we will get all these cars. Only, what is officially confirmed, is that not everything will come at once. Tim said that for some disiplines we would have to wait untill after gold probably. I thought that was said about at least oval racing, but I can be mistaken on that one EDIT :: And we also have seen screenshots from both Go-Karts, and the Corvette, so they are very likely as well. I really believe we will have them all EDIT2 :: And after searching I think I also found a Panoz (GTR1 I think), and the GT2 field with Panoz GT2 and Corvette (and maybe more?) GTR1 ahead?
I certainly hope so! I am not so knowledgeable with older cars like some people, I was wondering if anybody has an idea of what some of these cars are/or what they are based on? Apart from the cars already in the game of course! I see 2 different Panoz cars from rF1, a Corvette, that 4wd rallycross type car from rF1, some form of muscle car, and 2 classic le mans or hill climb type cars? As well as a kart haha!
Yeh I think we`ll see all the cars in that wallpaper/screen in rf2 for sure... it might take some time to get them all in sim though. Some real class models in there too... As we say in my neck of the woods: Cool as mince!
These are Lolas I think. The closed one is Lola T70 MKIII Sportscar and yes, it has raced at LeMans, even at the movie. The spyder (the open) looks like it is 1966 T70 MKII
Don't forget that newly licensed cars may come before any of them, can't view the pic but presume the F2 isn't there for example.
I can't say when they will be done, but I want that Maverick and them 2 Lolas at the left side of the screen!
Just as a quick glance, I think only 7 of those have been released. They all will be eventually. There's also cars which were licensed before that image was made, not on the image, and after it was made, not on the image.
I'm looking at your avatar.... and wondering how to make mine that big (the avatar graphic, that is).
