    Unsurprisingly, I agree :)

I have been thinking lately of something, a tool that can reconstruct a DeltaBest reference lap from a replay file.

    That would be amazingly useful!

When I watch faster guys laps, it's not immediately obvious where I'm losing time. I check top speed and gearing and they seem more or less Ok, but still at the end of a lap I'm left with 2 or 3 seconds on the table.

With the faster cars, is the ability to start accelerate a bit sooner or a bit faster that make most of the gap. Enter slow, exit fast is the mantra they say, doing it is not so simple.

Oh yes, "slow" must be intended as "slower than I think I can do it", but at the same time, you need to have the best "nose authority" possible, if you like aeronautical terms. (nose authority is the ability of an aircraft to point toward the intended direction in any condition of the flight envelope, from supersonic to stall speed).

Thank you for your advice, I'm a slow fart but improving with time.. and patience (when it's avaiable). :)

Thats where replay office is beautiful.
You merge your lap and their lap and see where it is.

I have also been comparing hotlaps with Motec.
