F1 MCLAREN CHROME help

    I need help to define the settings shaders to achieve a good chrome for Mclaren Mp248 I'm modeling for the F1 2013 mod for RF2.

    Would you settings for a beautiful rendering of ingame chrome?

    I don't think chrome is currently possible in RF2, but anyone else feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. :)

    I've also asked for the chrome effect, Tosch said those shaders were in use in previous builds but later removed..

    I think that was on the car body materials that was changed. Some chrome would still be posibile to do with all those shaders.

    @f1ligue i will test some shaders and settings next week and i can send you settings than if you want. More or less it should be affected only by right car color, alphas challens and some nice specular texture.

    Chrome is not possible with a specular reflection like this.

    ...but as I mentioned earlier there was a build with a working specular reflection.

    Atm the specular reflection is just a white blob. It does not react on alpha channels or normal maps. Wet road don't reflect the sunlight. I believe this is one of the reasons the game is still not gold.

    I know, playing around with some textures overall and so on could maybe get some chrome effect out and ofcourse with some shaders. I didnt try it yet thought with all the shaders and diferent settings but will do over the weekend probably.
    I wonder why those shaders were pulled back, werents those in one of first builds far better actually?

    It's for "wccarbody" shader (texture mclaren F1 2013)

    This is the right way ... not answer questions from the modders ISI.
    Keep it up, but we will not rf2 your weight against the other games.

    try shiny carbon shader and forget wccarbody call it something different this was from the old f1bmws in rf1.

    is not good...
    I'll wait ISI corrects their shader or so I expect Asseto corsa to see if it works better or not.

    That shader not work?? Assetto corsa will be good graphics but i expect the physics to be like gran turismo or a high speed train.

    I spend 4 hours on the Saturday morning of the shader Mclaren, I can not find the right setting shader ...
    this is just a personal frustration ... mclaren chrome one without it is like a ferrari green ^ ^

    ???...do you know Netkar Pro? the best physics with rF2 (in my opinion) and it's the same team! So...

    can chrome be added by the texture skin??
