F1 80's Mod project seasons pack RELEASED

    Here is the pictures,
    As you can see, i used reshade also but wotjout it , it's worst.
    The colours in fact have changed since last update.
    Also the reflections have changed also, cars semms to be less reflective or look like flat material.
    Thanks to look at that and tell me what the problem is.

    Have you tried your mod after Yesterday update?
    There are visual improvement for old car shaders

    hi, I guess that you changed something that create a kind of incompatibility , I read that you changed the light on the tyres, did you notice a problem after that ?
    by the way the shader must be a specific "rf2" shader, and in this case Chiefwiggum worked with the "car paint with damage" and it seems in the pictures that the current shader is different, so check if you have another one. Soon I'll send you a MP with step by step if you want

    I've check everything and did a complete fresh reinstall of rfactor 2 to be sure.
    The problem stay and is looking as a change of colours for older mods. (I just changed the tyres to a darker texture in theses cars but didn't had some issues at all. It comes from last builds 1118/19)
    I've see some complains from asr formula with the new graphical updates. They where showing a benetton looking fluorescent( the yellow one).Now they seem to use the new material very well ;)
    It's exactly the same problem for all the 86/88 cars.
    The tracks have also some strange red and yellow values.

    For me, if i understand well, Studio 397 are now developping the new graphical effects but even with their products it's not finished. (24 h Lemans track is not working well too they said)
    They tell they will put some ressources after the 24h online race because before it, they are too busy.
    I hope it's just a temporary problem. ;)

    When i see your brabham, i think you have understand far better than me how to make a car shine lol.
    Could you do the same for the 86/88 season? I mean, just the textures and materials (rain drops, shaders, reflexions... )
    86 cars are all from you already and carrera4 seems to be definitely out of business. :s
    I'm more tweaking the ai and some physical values than touching to graphics.
    (except reshade but it was just some presets, nothing very deep)
    I really enjoy the new materials and updated graphics in rfactor2 and it would be a big thing to have the 86/88 season using these features.
    In any case, i will finish my work with the ai but it's a pain in my eyes now lol ;)

    I've got the same problem with GTPC mod, there you'll find what I've done to solve this issue.

    yes if you haven't changed anything, the problem should come from an external reason, as the new graphical effects that you mentioned , Arnaud comment seems to confirm that
    in any case there will be a solution

    Thanks Arnaud, i will look at this but your link doesn't work (in your original post i mean, not this one)
    For sure, there is a solution but that's totaly new for me and that will be a lot of work.
    I'll finish the ai things and talent for gameplay, after that, i will look at this problem further.
    My hope is that this mod will be reaching the best finitions.
    That's fun to drive with ai, but it must look gorgeus too ;)
    (OMG, i need a new coffee machine now loll ) ;)

    if you have to change the shaders of every teams + the tracks, of course it's a work, but still doable, and in this case I could give a hand. Hope for Arnaud'solution or something else from 397 . Did Chief read the topic ?

    The link work only if you have your car loaded on track or in showroom (in devmod!). You have to use the link when you are ingame at the same time.

    Thank you for all the work you're doing . I hope you can solve the graphical issue and get a response from Carrera and make this mod released.
    This can lead to a more precise, inmersive and enjoyable experience for all the F1 fans

    Hi guys, thanks for the support but for now i had to reinstall all my windows.
    I have a backup of my files so no stress but, now i'm unable to reinstall the 86 or 88 cars in the devmode since two weeks now!.
    That's sounds pretty stupid but i've test it in many ways, no luck.
    I have a back to desktop all the time with devmode when trying to reinstall one of those cars.

    For now i'm very frustrated about it and i don't find any motivation to finish it.
    I can send all my camera and aipath files but it's not the way i wanted to do it.
    All the ai tyres and physics midifactions can't be used if not in a mod package.
    If we talk also about the coulours and shaders change, that really broke my way in creating because i'm not able to do this work.

    Some help would be very needed here :s

    About devmod
    Make sure you haven't .Mas files in your vehicles and locations folder
    -If you have a mas like brmGMT.mas and brm\GMT\ files too
    devmod crash
    -same logic with all other files
    -i have only sound.Mas in my devmod
    So move your mas files out of devmod

    I saw that if i have only one mas file like above
    Devmod could crash always with all cars and all tracks

    if your devmod still not work:
    -try to move off all your projects (cars and tracks)
    -keep in devmode only skipbarber and Joesville contents
    -delete moddev/userdata/ dir and files
    -then try skipbarber at Joesville

    So many thanks, that was the problem.
    Now i still stay with the yellow car but it's with the good physics and engine now.
    (Will find what folder names are incorrect in gen file probably but not a real problem.)
    So i can work on ai path things correctly again.

    Hi, good news here.

    I've finished the tweaks on all physics and ai stuff.
    So, now, my 86 and 88 copilation season work pretty well with ai.

    Now i'm still learning how to manage that and diffuse it on steam but that would not be a big problem i hope ;)

    The biggest problem is about the graphical issues of old material used in these mods.
    I've send a conversation with @Postipate and @ChiefWiggum to receive some help here.
    Anyone that can offer some help is welcome of course. ;)

    I'll put the version 0.9 on steam soon as an evaluation process of my work with this compilation.
    Maybe you like it or not ;)

    What will be in this version :
    - New track cameras for all tracks based on 80's style
    - New aiw paths ( 86 path and 88 path and a fastest path option for other mods work too)
    - 86 and 88 historical edition (all teams have their own performances)
    - Talent files for all drivers matching historical behavior
    - Different tyres strategies for each teams or drivers.
    - Ai behavior generally tweaked to make more human like races and battles.
    - Difficulty leveling ( ex : You are on pole position with a top team car and you drive at 100% difficulty means, if you use a small team (86 or 88 cars, rain or dry ) in any tracks, you will battle and be happy with a 20th place.
    That, without changing difficulty level for each races or teams.
    A big work but very far from a detail. ;) )
    - A pdf guide to tell what are the limitations, how to use this mod, etc or whatever reasons will be included ;)

    Brilliant, really looking forward to it. I’m glad you are willing to release it before the graphical issue is fully solved in test form, thanks for that and the pdf is a great idea, reminds me of the best RF1 historic edition mods lik 1979 and 1991 HE :)
