The static shifters need to be removed by yourself or else they will remain attached to the wheel base which isn't a problem but i preferred to just take them off. There are 3 less buttons but 2 buttons are inside the rotary switch (which is spring loaded so you twist it to the right or left to click a button and when you let go of the switch it springs back to the central position). So there is actually only 1 less button in practice (which is the playstation button on the default t500 rim).
