[REL] Endurance Series rF2

+1 really necessary for VR to finetune seating position
The default seating positions on the ES cars are positioned close to the driver helmet place in the cars (Seat at 0,0 position). So we need to have screen shots to understand what is wrong?
Is this issue also with S397 official cars?

I ask that is all, Why do people always need to comment when they should just shut up.
(Why? because it's voluntary restricted to avoid to use unrealistic positions)
My fov when set on triple with multi view on requires me to move the seat back and up to the correct position that I sit in a car.
The current setting has me still only a couple of inches from the dashboard. Nothing unrealistic about that try it before you comment.
I'm not a race driver so I should be able to drive in a position that I would in real life. I'm 6 foot 3 not 5 foot nothing.

Awesome Mr K. I will enter one teeny tiny complaint. On the Ligier, the clear glass covers for the headlights looks like it was removed. You see the outline where the glass should meet the carbon fender but then it is difficult to see the glass itself. Makes the front fenders look a little truncated. Could just be the angle of the images but may be something that needs a little highlight.

No changes were made to cars core graphics, only updated shaders.

Keep cool in comments please. Mad_King is in charge of this topic for our mods, so he just ask more clarification in order to check if your request can be added to the mod, for this new build or the next one.

I would certainly be appreciative of a bigger range for forward and backward movement for the cockpit camera. With the FOV I run, I typically have my monitor positioned at the back of the base of my T500. That way I at least have the illusion that the wheel is connected to the car. :)

This. In the end it all comes to the FOV you are using and which setting looks a) most realistic b) works with you on personal level.

I can very well understand the limits for vertical adjustment as you can gain considerable advantage placing the camera unrealistically high. But horizontal movement is IMO somewhat another thing and giving more room for adjustment within the cockpit allows you to set your seat according your FOV and whether you want to have instrument cluster on your view or not.

I'm slightly looking fwd to this redo of the mod. I written off the previous version due to awful physics etc. But the models cockpits sounds etc were fantastic. Can't wait for this!

Why? because it's voluntary restricted to avoid to use unrealistic positions
Than make it so you can only have cockpit view IF WHAT I ASKED IS SO unrealistic.

Hey guy, I asked just to understand how to adjust the things, so please, post us some screen shots to see the limitation you have because without information we can't fix anything.
So please help us, and you will get something better, if you continue to be aggressive on the forum you will never get something better. It's the WE, so be cool, take a breath and help us ;)

Sometimes I switch FOV (Formula Cars/GT cars/LMP...) and then again sometimes the range of movement is not enough to get my view right (I want my screen 46TV as a windscreen/shield of the real car and move forward as far as possible so that the dash and wheel would aline to the virtual one - this is totally different when you use 3D Vision - so the virtual wheel pops out of TV to the position of my "real wheel" - than you use 2D (I know it is hard to believe if you never tried) VR is sometimes the same and I did not want to address it only in your mod but in general. (sorry for my bad English)

Exaclty my case, IMO is the best/most realistic camera setting with one monitor.

Here is an example of how i set the ECC GT3 mod view in AMS (i had to edit manually the cockpit.ini)

Original news : http://www.enduracers.com/newsletter_48.html

EnduRacers Modding Team & Gentlemen Racers are pleased to provide to you the Endurance Series rF2 build 1.50 ! After the recent update of rFactor 2 to the DX11 technology, driver by the new dev team Studio 397, it was necessary to update the mod, specially on the graphic side, in order to enjoy the best possible experience and allow the MOD to take benefits of it. We have updated the bodywork shaders, rims shaders, and cockpit displays (rpm leds or motec devides) shaders.

The team used this opportunity to add in this build a physic update for all the cars, correcting the inertia value. This modification has driven an update of all cars defaut setups, so please be carefull with your current setups before making some feedbacks. Don't forget to read carefully the instructions to install and setup correctly the mod. Be carefull, the mod is big, reaching more than 3Gb now.

MOD - BUILD 1.50 FEATURES
* Graphics : Updated bodywork shader to match DX11 update.
* Graphics : Updated dashboard display devices shader to match DX11 update.
* Physics : Corrected values of all cars inertia.
* Physics : Updated defaut setup on all cars.
* Physics : FFB Upgrades, removed.
