Has anyone a link to the Formular 1 1970 Car in svictor pictures ? . There was a mod for RF1 I remember. Thx for the awesome Track
Hi, The mod is "F1 70 style" by Chief. One of the car in my screenshots has a special BT34 nose that I made a while ago, but not yet released since Chief is busy working on other projects, might have to wait until Chief has time to do an update for the mod.
Thanks for this info . I thought i cannot see the BT34 nose in the F1 70style mod ,i must be blind . Now i hope that this wonderfull car can be released in a future update
I can't drive rFactor2 yet, but just curious how do the '67 F1's drive around this version of Dundrod? Are they as fun to drive as they are in GPL? Also, I didn't see any mention of AI. Does the track support races with AI? If so, how many AI can you race against?
It supports races with the AI and 1960's F1 and F3 cars on rFactor 2 are a joy to drive in my opinion with unbelievable grip/tyre deformation/pitch and roll feel. I never drove GPL, so I can't make a comparison, but you could check what Jacob from GPLaps says on his YT videos.
It has a similar feel to GPL but not as knife edge difficult. Modern simulator tech rF2 tires(not modern tires but the sim's tire technology) are leaps and bounds beyond the wooden blocks we skated on with GPL. AI has issues in specific situations but can be excellent at times. If you are planning on purchasing rF2, wait for a seasonal sale on Steam. Those usually happen around 6 times a year. AND DON'T BUY ANY DLC OR DOWNLOAD MODS UNTIL YOU ARE CERTAIN YOUR SYSTEM CAN RUN RF2 AND YOU CAN LOAD & RUN DEFAULT CONTENT. Often we see complaints from guys who purchased the sim and loads of DLC and cannot get the sim to run. So dip your toe, if all goes well, then have at it.
I think it should be noted that none of the "old school" cars and tracks is DLC. There are some great paid tracks by Sergio Loro, though, but they are, from memory, €3,00 per track, which is "nothing". So you can get all the old school rF2 racing experience for less than € 20,00. Check "Humble Bundle": https://www.humblebundle.com/store/rfactor-2 It's available for €6,00 and the site is legitimate.
v1.03 update - Improved AIW corridor and lines at Hairpin & pit exit (thanks to the advice from Alex). AI now handles those two corners much better, and greatly reduced chance of piling up at corner exit. This also helps several mods that previously were unable to pass the Hairpin despite of having enough steering lock (ex. 917K can now safely pass Hairpin, as well as several OW/LMP cars). Note: Sufficient steering lock is still required. It will not help if a vehicle does not have enough angle to turn, such as C7R. Also there are still a few car mods that fail to pass the hairpin despite of having enough steering lock, for unknown reasons. - Improved a few AIW sections where AI was having twitching behavior. - Fixed a trackside camera clipping issue.
A little bit late to the party here but this looks amazing. Many thanks for doing this svictor and of course Jim Pearson for the original track.
