Forgive another question from me (people have been very helpful :) ) but how do I get the dedicated server to load an add-on community modded track? It will only load the default Portuguese layout for example for GT1.

    goto documents/rfactor2/support/tools

the .chm file explains stuff, the Mas2.exe creates stuff.

Basicly you need to create a vmod, a small file which tells peeps what they need to join the server. your vmod will tell them they need this track to race this mod.

the vmod needs to be installed on the dedicated server and once online people just press 'getmod' in the server list and join (if they have the correct files) or are told what they are missing.
When setting up the server the vmod will now show in your list and thats it.

Word of advise: dont over-do it. if you create a vmod with like 5 tracks needed people will simply not bother to join. the easyer you make it, the more people join in.

    Good luck.

ps: i'm not an expert btw, i'm sure peeps will correct me if i explained it wrong :)

Thank you -- although this really needs to be greatly simplified for Gold.

Yes, but the tutorial is a bit outdated actually. :)

The current version of Mas2 has different menu icons, but still the tutorial is simple to follow.

I think you're trying too hard.

If you want your Get MOD button to work, make sure you don't have any spaces in the name... and keep the name short. Mine look like "Lola_at_Nords".

    1st window; name your vMOD.
    2nd window; select the track/tracks.
    3rd window; select car/cars
    4th window; don't select anything
5th window; (where your pic is taken) Don't check any boxes. (that makes the vMOD huge by including the cars and tracks in the download of vMOD. Click on package. After it tells you it's done... click done...

Now click the install button... you should be done.

    Hope this helps,

    Bryan

Regarding this delete action; I always delete mods by first uninstalling them in modmanager and then deleting them from "packages" folder. Still, all these mods are on the list in modmanager. This isn't of course a real issue, but I would like to keep things neat and see only the mods that really exist. Any idea why those are still on the list? Are the files stored in some other locations? Would appreciate any advice on it.

Well, although I was talking about temporary files created by Mas Tool, in your case (not related to this post ;)), you can also try to delete some files, search for a folder named like the track you have uninstalled inside Locations folder, at your rfactor2 installation folder, and simply delete it; should work

Yeah, I realized that's probably the other files you were talking about, but thanks for the hint :)
