Hi, Just wanted to let you know that we recently added a feature that might come useful in rF2. Mapping in game tire to well known tire as part of configuring car class. Here's an example: { "carClassEnum": "F1_90S", "rf2ClassNames": ["F1_1996_SL1DE"], "raceroomClassIds": [7214], "brakeType": "Carbon", "maxSafeWaterTemp": 105, "maxSafeOilTemp": 140, "timesInHundredths": true, "enabledMessageTypes": "ALL", "pitCrewPreparationTime": 17, "allMembersAreRWD": true, "gameTyreToTyreType" : { "GoodYear D": "Super_Soft", "GoodYear C": "Soft", "GoodYear B": "Medium", "GoodYear A": "Hard" } }, That way CC will be able to recognize unusual tire names.
Hello people I downloaded and installed this fabulous plugin. I'm Italian and I found this sound pack https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mbAaqa3bo4eQsMXbnJXctqs5TLwn2V7J/view?usp=sharing I followed the instructions, after giving the path to the sound pack, save and restart. In the CC menu are now in Italian, but I only hear English spotters in the game? could anyone help me to understand where the error is? Babs
Hi, does your sound pack includes Spotters? You may want to go through stickies on this sub forum to understand file structure in CC. CC supports alternative packs, so if pack is authored correctly, it should work. http://thecrewchief.org/forumdisplay.php?6-Voice-packs-translations
I took Gianfranco's pack, followed the instructions however some sentences remain in English now I will look in the forum, to see if I find any information you could provide me the 4.4.3.4 version of the CC because it is the version developed in the instructions in Italian maybe in the last versions something has been changed and it is for this reason that the pack does not work correctly. Babs
I am pretty sure Gianfranco's pack is very, very outdated - app changed hugely since v 4.4, also 4.4 does not work with rF2. You can find location for old versions in FAQ on our forum.
as I said, replacing the files works almost everything. what I don't understand how to make it work is the lap times. do you have any ideas to solve this problem? where are the folders of the English lap times, in the voice folder? thanks in advance for help. Babs
is it possible to edit the CC, in order to make the numbers of the old (Gianfranco) pack work? because everything works perfectly, except for the numbers on the lap time.
See voice packs area of our forum. There was some work done to support another Italian effort, but I am not familiar with that stuff. One thing I remember you drop text file to denote pack language. Might be worth replying here: http://thecrewchief.org/showthread.php?773-I-m-thinking-about-making-an-official-italian-soundpack
If you are using Shared Memory plugin only with the Crew Chief, or do not use FFB data in SimHub, you could save a few CPU cycles by reducing amount of data plugin pumps. In CustomPluginVariables, set UnsubscribedBuffersMask to 56. Note you need to get new plugin with CC first
Sorry i couldnt find the information, but which of the spotter voices to choose from are complete? Is it only Jims voice or more?
Is it possible to have the spotter temporarily disabled automatically when the qualifying session is set to private?
@Alex72 IRL spotter and Chief are different people. CC has 2 dropdowns one for spotter (person who tells you car left car right). One for Chief. CC ships only with one Chief voice Jim (CC creator). There is one English alternative voice (WIP by @mschreiner) and multiple European language translations at thecrewchief.org, no Swedish though @Bill Worrel there's voice command for that, check the readme please. If I am not mistaken, it is also possible to assign button to control that.
I knew there was a voice command to turn off spotter messages but I don't have voice commands set up. I tried it once and it wasn't working well for me. I will need to try it again with a different voice recognition option. I was just thinking there's no point in having a spotter during private qualifying since there's no one else on the track (except invisible cars which the spotter calls repeatedly). I just don't know if it's possible for CC to determine if qualifying is private. But if there's a button I can assign, that may be able to work for me. Thanks.
rF2 API does not expose information if qualification is private, that's one of the limitations. Here's action you can assign if you like:
Thats what i meant, lol. There is a dropdown for spotters and there are many names there. Which ones are 100% complete spotter audio samples? Last time i checked only Jims spotter voice was complete and all the others only had a few audio samples done. Are they all complete now? If i choose someone else than Jim i will get all spotter information?
I believe most of the spotters are complete. Some might miss a few sounds, but the ones included with app are in good shape (otherwise they wouldn't ship with the app). If you want, you could check how many sounds each of the spotters have in the sounds directory Disk location of CC sound files is listed in the FAQ IIRC.
