Thanks for good words Please, put a request on this thread, and maybe Jim will get to it at some point http://thecrewchief.org/showthread.php?20-Personalisation-wish
You`re more than welcome. Ok, I`ll put a request in. It`s no big deal really but would be nice to have my proper name in there and shouted out to me.
When you also set sweary on and your name is in it then you will hear: "you F*c**d up the start Terence"
Ha, I get that ALL the time. I can see why you get it though, if your avatar is an indication. (no wheels)
Yes, check the preferences dialog it has options for that (enable_brake_temp_warnings/enable_tyre_temp_warnings). Also, it is possible to define which messages you want to hear per vehicle class if you want to take it further.
Just another shout out for this amazing spotter. By far the best one i've ever used across all my sims. Currently using the beta 4.7 version ad have found no issues to date. 3 wide commands all working nicely. Thanks so much to all involved with Crew Chief.
We wanted to ask for your help guys. We are looking for a volunteer to record Spotter sounds in American English. Current British English recording consists of 75 sounds. As you may know, in oval races Spotter and Chef are not the same person. We would like to add a drop down to allow selection of various voices for Spotter functionality. I know there are Stock Car leagues and enthusiasts in rFactor 2,so I hope someone will step up to make experience better for everyone Please let us know if you are interested. Thanks!
Thanks for your response. Are you familiar with Crew Chief? It a Spotter/Team Radio application created by @mr_belowski (Jim Britton). He asked me if I know anyone willing to record Spotter functionality with American pronunciation. Since rF2 powers some SC leagues, I thought I'd ask users here (I am the one who added support for CC to rF2). We would like to have multiple choices for Spotter voice in the application. Jim probably is better person to talk to regarding recording requirements (volume etc), though they are pretty lax - radio effect will be applied on top. I could point you to sound files if you are interested so that you can get an idea of what we're talking about. Let me know how you would like to proceed.
I don't use the crew chief plugin - familiar with it though. If I just need to read some lines and you guys do the processing I wouldn't have a problem doing that. Send me the info if you guys are interested.
Empty Box has a good voice, but you'll want someone with a southern drawl, too. Stockcars just aren't stockcars without the drawl.
the more the merrier, I was thinking it would be nice to have voices from all around US Hopefully, someone will volunteer.
Hey! When i was online (for the first time) a guy came on with a not so usual name (nickname even that wasnt a normal name!) and CrewChief said his name!!! How did you do that guys? Maybe it was someone that that got his name added to CC or is it some other kind of function? Or is it magic?
