Todays winner is Fanatec. Went to their website,got onto live chat. Explained my brake mechanism had leaked it's oil. Wanted to know if there's replacement rubbers as mine kept popping out. It's broken they said. 2 days later postman delivers replacement. Not rubbers. The entire unit. Now it's more than my life is worth to cancel date night with my Wife so install will have to wait until tomorrow On the other hand,date with my Wife If I can find some 3rd party rubbers that fit I may try thicker oil in the 'broken one' as a test.......
Those o-rings have never broke for me, they simply just haven't worked since day one. Once you get to a certain point, if you tighten anymore, then they just start distorting and partly sticking out. In my opinion simply junk that hasn't worked since day one.
Yep,same here,just pops out. But with a bit of manipulation it can be done. This new one is definitely better,much smoother action. Maybe easier to tighten if I don't get any oil on it.......
You have no idea how difficult it was for me to restrain myself from referring to your second post - that one's an overkill when read in... "alternate context". Anyway, nice of Fanatec to react this way and this quickly. I therefore dedicate all uncontrollable laughter that may or may not have occurred to guys at Fanatec
