Just a quick 5 lap race at Silverstone onboard the Audi R8 LMS GT3 to test my newly bought GT3 Challengers Pack. I'm speechless, these cars are awesome, the best GT experience I've ever had on any racing sim.
Nice race! I was also starting from pole at Silverstone yesterday and ended up 3rd. The AI is pretty good here, especially a couple of them that seem a bit alien at least for my skills. I managed to keep the lead for most of the race, but at the end, after feeling the pressure for so long, I messed up The Loop. So easy to get the entry wrong there and consequently widen the exit too much isn't it? I've also noticed that we both slide probably a little bit too much at Copse and Club and in my case also at Abbey and Luffield. Maybe we wear our tyres more than the AI and hence why they seem faster than us at the end. You're faster than me, although I've been driving the Audi most of the times. Now I want to get back to the Aston Martin! My custom GT3 championship features short races as well for now. I do a 10 min qualy session and a 5 or 10 lap race, but time based is also a good option. What about you? What's your current format?
Hi mate, my format is 6 laps, I am running Blancpain 2019 tracks for this one. Quals for me are 3 laps only so I need to make sure I stick it. I'm also being strict on myself and not rerunning them if I bork the quals. The Loop is the worst, if you mess that up it ruins the setup for Aintree, Wellington and Brookvale. I was running 3 downforce for that race and it was probably too little for the fast corners, also causing tyre wear due to those slides. Those AI there are brutal though and their grip levels at 115% and 40% are insane I love the Aston, having said that I tried the Audi for the Studio 397 Sebring comp and then quickly swapped back to the Aston lol.
My worst race yet, flat spotted and tyres just went off from there and just loooook at my foot cam!!!!!
Thanks mate, yes it is, and it is really good. I need to put some more track time into them and get to grips with the brake strength and optimum brake balance as it's very easy to lock these cars up as you saw and flat spot them.
