Wow 93' McLaren-Ford.
I think 93 was the last year, the teams was allowed to use active suspension, and driver assistance systems like ABS, automatic gearshift and traction control. This McLaren was a quite competitive car, not to the Williams which drove in his own league. But it was very close to the Benetton of Michael Schumacher. This season they used an simple active suspension from Bilstein, simpler compared to last years system from Honda wich was very complicated and hard to set up.
Ayrton was able to win not less than five Gp this season, an amazing performance considering the dominant Williams Renault. Highlight was this legendary European Gp in Donington where Ayrton starting from 4th place, at the end of first lap he was already in the lead, and he won this race under changing weather conditions in a amazing way. After the race one of the reporters asked Micheal Schumacher about Sennas performance, and he said: "Once in a future, when my son come's to me and ask me "who was this Ayrton Senna?" i'm going to show him a video of this race!".

I also remember Ayrton did'nt had an contract for the whole season, instead he get's paid for every single race.

Thank's Sderenno, beautiful pictures!
Amazing really as I THINK the Ford engine McLaren used was multiple generations behind the Ford Benetton got to use. The fact that Senna, Hakkinen and even Andretti a couple of times were right up there is testament to the chassis itself (and their skill, I suppose). :) Amazing car it must have been. Would be curious to have seen how it would have gone with a better engine.

Disgraceful!

You shouldn`t be allowed to post such fugly shots!!!

:p

On a serious note, very nice Mr.D... what settings you using? I notice very little jaggies on the wires/cables in those shots and that`s something I`ve noticed on my end with some tracks sometimes...

Thanks.

Come run them at our SCES rF2 endurance series. :)

http://simhqmotorsports.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forums/474/

There will be an update released in the next day or two that reduces the cockpit view shaking.

Thanks to our two devs, Alex Coutie and Don Bachmann forcreating the cars, and to ISI's Michael Borda for the tire and chassis assistance.
Would love to guod but i dont get as much time with rf2 now days as id like tbh, ive bookmarked your site though as maybe i could join a one off event if i get time as i like driving these beast's. Real nice to here a update is coming for cockpit shaking, where can i follow dev news on these 2 cars? Is there a thread somewhere? i only stumbled upon these on some dudes face book page by chance, id like to say thanks to the makers of these beauties if i could, if not pass on my many many thank you's please. If you look it is only the one shot ( from behind ) has jaggy lines I can see.
I think because of the distorted zoom and position I used.

Like if I preposition camera and zoom the same lines would be smooth.

Don't think you paying attention mate :)

Now look at that rear shot again what really sticks out in texture ? the brick building hey, almost too much. hint hint hehehe

Also notice the horizon how in that shot it does not look normally good hey, I think it is exactly what that light grey wire seems to suffer from in that pic too ( the 2 really ruined the shot for me )

But it is not woo's fault lol

Still ain't worked it out have ya ? loooo:pooool

How could I be running a 670 and you a 780 you saying and have worse jaggy power lines. ffff p

Bahahaha

They are 4K res, resized to 1920, so you can breath easy tj lol

That is why the wires are smoother mate and that hi res building sticks out that little tad more don't it !

With extreme zoom and focal point + 4K can highlight the nice stuff but can show up weakness in other areas.

In 4K you will see some big difference both good and bad in signage and other stuff at different tracks for example in many sims.
I assume because not all 2D/3D models been done in the same res or are not as good quality.

Give 4K a whirl mate I can still drive a okay lap with 7 ai , medium shadows 4xS 8xAA and no HDR

It really does show the true gfx potential of rF2, more so then any other sim I have run 4K........... and I have run em all :p

But that is just my opinion, what do I know.

Personally I like the last shot the most, cars are immaterial, shows off the grass and the painted posts ( ever noticed the bottoms being un-painted ? ) and overall ambiance of Longford. ;)

P.S. Even in the last shot tj notice how the road edge looks blurred but other things razor sharp.

razor sharp for fugly 60Hz No HDR I mean. lol

Ahh right... 4k. I have heard you talking about this before now I think on it.

They do look good.

Mmm... I wouldn`t know where to start with 4k, I know nothing about it.

Got any info on how to do it?

As Remik says mate you set in NVCP not Inspector ( ie: when set it will be global )

After you set DRS 4.0 rerun configs for any sim you want to try set the resolution to 3860x2160

Looks magic screenshots never do it justice either.

Ok, thanks guys. Will give this a try. :)

Nice shots btw...

I know I went on about other stuff lool only to make the point that no matter 3860 still depends a lot on the scene and modelling, the focal length, zooming and placement.

As well some cars and tracks it just exposes more warts, others look fantastic.

I dunno muck around at Longford, set all camera controls ( I use the aids keys F1-F12 handy the groups of 4 are ) , pause live action, hit PageDown, hit End, hit mouse move and zoom away, then change car hit PageDown/End again .

Other thing is cool is scrolling all TV cams ( End key) and rotate, zoom, elevate.

It is not as good as GPL's CCM but does the job. hehehe

This is for others benefit mostly not tj's , some people from the screenshots thread don't seem to realize mouse move uses a whole different set of keys that are unassigned and can improve your shots greatly from the default camera keys.

Take Remik's shots, using End/ Mouse Move and other keys you can walk 800 metres down the road, turn a round then zoom back up to the trainline.

Standing out in the middle of a paddock and zooming in can highlight stuff like the barbed wire and sign you see in my 2nd Pic.

ie: That shot looks like I am standing at the fence but actually I am 100 metres back.
