So Tosch, those nice pics of Croft - what do you do to avoid the transparent trees? Do you do the true-to-false answer for TransparencyAA like the rest of us? Or is there a way to tweak the track itself?

I do the true-to-false TransparencyAA stuff in the player.json like the rest of the world. :D

It works really great with tracks like poznan-1.0 or Sachsenring-1.0
Croft-1.0 is still a bit weird but 0.91 is ok.

Last but not least, many tracks that have some nasty flickering aliasing will be fixed this way.
 
That opens the question: what exactly is rF2 GFX missing? (DOF I see without thinking. What else?)
Can you really tell it from screenshots???
 
I guess those pics, apart the mask to apply the motion blur to the background, has been edited on color levels/sat, histogram and probably a tad of sharpness. Not easy to say as I don't know that mod so we can't compare original skin colors with those present in the shot. Apart that...I've to say they are a pleasure for my eyes, especially 1, 3 and 4. :)
 
Motion blur on the rims in the first picture. Plus DOF yeah.

The rest is playing around with the hdr posibilities. But as we found out a long time ago it is extremly difficult to bring nice lightning in all situations. Apart from pcars to some degree, no racing game in the whooooole world has ever achieved this task. So I don't believe it is possible in rf2. It will always be a compromise.
