Yeh, I`m getting the same dodgy reflections too although it seems they are ok sometimes and not the next... Nice screen wajdi.
Agreed, this is a good step forward IMO in car models. Cockpit is a nice place to be, does feel much much better visually. Model outside also looking great, well done ISI
Thanks ISI. Model is very nice and she drives great. Very cool. I do agree with Ales that reflections do look "odd" I will keep ripping her around though
Happy birthday Scott Tim, reflections look more realistic to me watching replay at Sebring when I turn off HDR. Just an observation Thanks
Good job! Great improvement on cockpit, nice textures and shaders on the dashboard, car looks good from outside too aside from the reflection issues. Easy to drive but with a lot of understeering going on with default setup. After 10 laps around Silverstone... yeah it feels good, thanks ISI. Interesting to see how the Howston cars will look like? Will they 'suffer' from being made earlier or will they have similar quality?
the whole game looks more ralistic with hdr off IMHO!! nice surprise... i'll try this weekend! thanks isi!
Intresting how this car should compete with the Mclaren from iRacing in real life since they're both GT3 spec cars. Anyway, did a couple of laps around Malaysia which was set at night, but no biggie. Had some fun with it, the sound is great to listen to and I'm sure once I put the details back to full (thank Silverstone for that ) that the cockpit will look alot more pleasant compared to just on "medium". I'm also very glad they pulled of a properly working gearbox it seems, without having to go into ini files and tweak the auto lift and auto blip lines, which I set to 0 for the historic cars etc. Driving.. Well, it feels as weird and skittish as the Corvette, especially low speeds is just a joke, but maybe with some setup tweaking (the usual, soften up rear and then soften it up some more to get some sense of grip) it'll get better. Obviously reflections has has been mentioned, a bit strange how something that noticeable is still in a 1.2 release but I'm not a dev and I'm sure they'll have their own schedule.
Skittish? You can practically drift the thing for god sakes. To me the car is very easy to drive and catch slides. Sure it has a lot of torque and will melt the tires in low speed turns in 1st gear but it feels predictable to me. Good job ISI!
It was just a 25lap stint on a green empty track so that might have something to do with it, I dont have realroads saved where 30AI's drove around for 500laps first like some servers seems to have loaded up
Not really related to this specific car, but to future cars... One thing I miss: chrome effects. We have seen Tosch achieve some chrome effects. Is this possible to use on parts? Not because the Camaro has much chrome, but for..like everything on the 60's cars: mirrors, gauges, drift shafts, engine parts etc? It would look darn good
I'm wondering with this more detailed car, and also new tracks like Silverstone - are the higher polys and textures GPU limiting, or does the CPU also come into play? Definitly a wonderful surprise today.
Wow, we really need settings being saved by car. My seat pitch value is not good right now. exit, edit file... restart, rejoin etc etc. Tim, is this going into the pipeline or what? Remember we talked about this earlier in another thread.
What a great Force Feedback. Now i can feel Forces even when the car understeers, while Feeling the loss of grip too. I wish that for the Nissans and the Corvette too.
