Hi Leonardo, The CTD I get on race start is in single player mode. I haven't tried Blackwood in multiplayer at all so far. Anyway, good luck with the changes and thanks for the update heads up.
strange grid possitions, lights with different functions, crashes in online game when lights changing
Hi, On my installation, Single Player did work. So i checked everywhere for bugs. I checked the startlight object and noticed the red light material D (the fourth red light) was missing. The Blackwood light has only three red and one Green light. So i introduced an additional red light, only visible in Reverse direction startlight. But i think that is not the reason for ctd) I found a wrong path name in GDB file (BlackwoodB instead of Blackwood). On my PCs this folder exists, but not on yours. So after adjustment, there was no ctd at all my test PCs. This Time i tested the Track also in multiplayer mode and ist still Works. To improove Performance i collected some smaller objects like the pitbuilding to one object, and changed some visgroups in SCN file. The Performance still is not the best, but it should provide some more Frames. For now i only have to change some AIW waypoints, driveline, pitpositions, and would like to release the version 1.02 soon. Thank you for your patience Leonardo
yes, I love the layout, it gives great chances for overtaking ... so thanks for the good news! awaiting .................
I like the layour but performance has been really poor to me this far, hope to see some improvement. Nice to hear that there's been progress
thank you very much for this conversion, this is my all time favorite track, have raced it for countless hours in LFS ... thanks again.
Great track! I still love LFS. Very nice physics. Too bad the development has been virtually non-existent the last three or so years. They have a very small and part time team though, so I forgive them I love the fact that they allowed the conversion of Blackwood. If only more devs were like this! They don't know free advertising when they see it.
ok so love the track but noticed that the installation adds a place holder for a melbourne track in to the track directory, which makes the game crash - anybody else have that issue?
Hi thanks for your positive reply Sorry for any trouble, you did have with the last versions. I reduced the number of visible cones and prevented the mirror visibility in SCN File for tires and cones to get more frames. The realroad now gets dirty, how it should be with some rubber graining I fixed the wrong folders in GDB files. I changed the wp_pathinfo1 in AIW files, but still some AI still drive to near to the last curps at the left corner before finish line and some AIW will do a roll over. Its funny to see and a good opportunity to take over (I fix that may be in future). I improved Cameras (generated by one click-generator without rework) and fixed the DRS Zone (now working at the long stright line) but i included no DRS Signs (original Track didnt have one) View attachment 8817 I tested the start light also in multiplayer and it should work now. Feel free to comment some feedbacks. For me its also a great pleasure to drive this great track from LFS, with new cars and the impressive simulation quality of rFactor2. This track for me is like a testtrack to learn how to make good tracks with much use of rFactor features. You also can find the download link at the first page of this thread. http://www.mediafire.com/download/pv3kk4xa4pq5v5t/Blackwood_102.rfcmp Have fun and I wish you a great driving hopefully also in multiplayer races. Hope you enjoy driving this track as I do. Leonardo
Still too heavy, lowest fps of the all tracks (including Silverstone) this is the only track where I have stutter when I have low enviroment reflections on and mirrors on. Turning both off gives ok fps and makes it pretty smooth, but I would prefer driving at least with mirrors on. I repeast, THE ONLY track that can not handle mirrors and low reflections without stutter. I hope you can fix this in the future, because I really would like to have races here. also there is a bug on the back straight, I get drive trough penalty for speeding in the pits there, sometimes
Hi Tig youre right with the drive through penalty. I noticed a difference between multiplayer and singleplay concerning the allowed accelerationpoint in pits. Have'nt found the reason yet. Im not satisfied with the PIT AI Behaviour as well, but im still learning. For Performance: did you tried the Auto Detail FPS f.e. 25 Frames per sec. in setting Display options, may be it helps. On all my Pcs i have a smooth acceptable Performance with 75 to 125 fps. 30% lower than other tracks. You will get more fps and fun with a CPU upgrade. Leonardo1962
The AI cars still won't turn on their headlights. I assume there's a simple fix for that somewhere in one of the track files.
