Thank you - Please, can we get your editor somewhere? Think I read about 2 years ago and it was for F1C?
LFS is still a great title and I revisit it quite often, Thanks for this conversion, I tested the LOLA on the GP circuit and I really like what you have done!! Runs really smooth and looks good. Now I need a Car for the rallycross
Disappointing that in 2013 some people in the community still applaud illegal conversions. When will you people finally realize this is not the way to go for sim racing. When you want to race Blackwood, buy Live for Speed and race it there where you should. Great signal that ISI allows such threads to be posted. Great work! /sarcasm off
No not nuff said. This is a copyrighted track from a competing title offered for free. No CD check, nothing. Please quote the email/letter/source where the devs of LFS state its okay to convert their content. Then ill withdraw my posts and post a sincere apology.
Got low frames compared (35 FPS here to 60 on LRP) to other tracks and found realroad not working. Is it my system or anyone else got that "problem"?
Hi, I knew this discussion will come up. I asked LFS on 03.jan.2013 for the conversion and LSF answered at 08.jan.2013 : Yes it is ok for you to convert Blackwood to rFactor2. We would appreciate it if you could make it clear to end users that the track has come from LFS. Please can you state that at the location where the download is available from? Also, it would be great if you could somehow include the LFS logo and website address www.lfs.net somewhere - perhaps on a billboard within the track. Leonardo
Well I find that a very surprising, strange and somewhat disturbing statement from a developer to be honest. But thanks for quoting the source. Accept my apology and pre-mature response!
Thanks Leonardo, I had fun today trying out this track. Tried the Skippy on the main track, and the Clios on the dirt track. Nice. Same
Thanks for the track conversion! And thanks to the LFS devs for allowing it. It seems they realize that rFactor 2 users are likely to also buy other racing sims, and that this is actually an opportunity for publicity
Thank you for this conversion, thanks to LFS too. I didn't know that track before and it's very nice, good job. I've made a race with SkipBarber cars on GP layout, very fun, AI is good, graphics too even if some optimizations are needed. I saw a small bug with the white line at the pits entrance, I can barely see it.
Thanks for the conversion and thanks to the LFS devs for giving permission (surprising, but very welcome)! Haven't had the chance to drive myself, just watching AI. I have to say I am quite impressed with the graphics, considering it's a conversion and the track is anything but new. There are other conversions here that I didn't even bother downloading after seeing screenshots. Most of the rest I uninstalled again within a minute or two. Not this one. Only thing I wasn't satisfied with at all was the road texture, but that is a rather easy thing to change I'd say. Do you have plans to redo that? Also very low fps for me. Disabling mirrors in most places almost doubled (!) my frames, so I guess there's room for improvment.
Hi, Yes there is space for improovements, i will release a improoved Version 1.1 in a few weeks. I like to adjust realroads and fix some details, f.e. lines, flagsanimation, ptlights and some more. May be the visibility range affects the framerate. I understood very late how to prevent far objects to pop up. Therefore i increased visibility and fog range. Next time i will fix that. Leonardo.
Thank you very much, great track! And thanks to LFS devs for giving permission. Blackwood + Formula XR / Formula BMW = nice memories
