Released August 2023 Content Update

rFPro has a common ancestor in the rFactor 2 physics engine and that's all. It has no relation to Studio 397. This has been answered several times. We need a FAQ.

The Formular ISI 2012 Dashboard should be updated but I see always a big white rectangle.

LOL, the dashboard is slightly above the steering, and that white surface on the steering is for track layout.

There's now a digit for KERS energy ( left), and delta time ( right).
 
I already asked this (rhetoric) question on your Discord - as there was an update of the Aston Martin GTE and Ferrari GTE, why is not mentioned here and why is it not possible to increase the version number of all the other GTE to 3.17, too?

Also there is no update to the other GTE it would make life a little easier to all those people running dedicated servers with a scripted framework (just "grepping" for version v3.15 in the definitions of mods and increase it to 3.17).

It 's annoying - and it has always been like that and I fear it will always be like that.

Looking forward to next hotfix of the hotfix of the hotfix of today and the posting that "as long as someone has the mod installed it will use and keep the older versions" and again I would like to ask - what about the people who have not joined that server before?

I feel like the AI in the BTCC cars is now either much more aggressive or far less player-aware.

Been racing them a lot lately, and has been really good enjoyable racing.
Granted they'd been a "little" bit too much on the permissive side - get anywhere near the back of them and they mostly move out of the way. But it made for mostly good clean side-by-side racing.

Ever since the update - seems I get pit-manouvered every race. With the AI constantly going into the back of you and just driving right across you like you're not there.

Not sure how the tyre tweaks have affected that, but something to look at if you get time?
Brilliant content otherwise - roll on Oulton, Knockhill and Snetterton!

studio please can you stop destroying more and more bop what do you do? with the latter, you not only destroyed the porsche even more, but also the bmw and now it turns out that the corvette c8r takes the place of the previous chetada al ferrari, yes! I think you can hardly do worse!
 
there are videos in the technical & support thread under dumb ai behaviour thread that show how bad the ai is..
 
Disappointing to see official content in the Steam workshop with change logs that list the date of changes but no actual information.

For example, the March 761 has no actual change notes since 21st of October 2019. This is repeated across much of the official workshop content.

Further, in-game, Porsche GTE is listed as a V6, not a boxer 6 per the other Porsches.

Please update.

Yeah would be nice to see the info in the steam logs, however the info is available elsewhere eg for the March 761 and others the changes were listed in the August release notes https://www.studio-397.com/2023/08/...liveries-amongst-august-free-content-updates/
Edit: they’re also listed on S397’s discord changelog channel.
