Well, one is GT3, the other is GTE and ALMS... if done right the cars should be a bit different and the matchup also. Personally the sexiest GT3 car on earth for me is the McLaren. Can't wait for that one.
imho the sexiest GT3 would be Lambo Huracan.. if they were making them :-( (does anybody know why is there Lambo Gallardo GT3, but not murcielago GT3?)
I suspect the Murciélago would simply be overkill as a GT3. Besides that, taking out that beautiful V12 and replacing it by something else could be considered a butchery of this car. Let's just remember the brutal sound the GT1 version with its screaming V12 delivered. Good times.
I think there even was (or still is? dunno) a Super GT 300 Murciélago as well. Could be wrong though. It's a shame though to have a racecar which has so less power than the actual street car (even if it's achieved by massive restrictors), but that's just my opinion.
Sure, you just made it out like that GT3 = no V12's and it belonged in GT1 and if a Murcielago would be to compete in GT3, you'd have to 'butcher' it and take out the V12... When obviously there are V12's in GT3 racing Aston Martin V12 TRG-AMR in Tudor TUSCC, Beechdean for example runs a V12 in Blancpain and in GT-Open GPR Racing runs its Vantage with a V12 just to name a few from the top of my head
TUSCC is not GT3 class. They have GTD and GTLM classes which are different from GT3. That's part of the problem with TUSCC is that the cars there have to be modified quite a lot to be used over in Europe.
Well i dunno what exact restrictions to engines is there, but Audi R8 LMS Ultra has cca 550HP where Audi R8 LMS has only 500HP, and they both compete in the same competition. To my knowledge, the cars do not have the same exact engine power, but they are regulated in many other ways like ballasts
Nah it's just slightly detuned... Still a GT3 car and GT3 6.0 V12... Just another restrictor so that the Porsche 991 America GT won't be left in the dust... Still called a GT3
Great fun. My league is about to switch cars and am thinking of suggesting this. The only thing I noticed is there is no damage model. Could we expect this in an upcoming update? Also is there anything else that would make this car not quite league ready? Is there a template available? Well done and thanks for the content
I`ve been away from rf2 for about a month but delighted to see the Merc released for us to try. Downloading now, will test later. Thanks.
Hey Tjc, just a heads up for you and any one else also, the merc steering lock only go's up to 20.5 at the moment rather than 26.0 ish so understeer can be a bit of a problem. I found that un checking steering wheel range from 540 down to 450 pretty much match's up with ISI's Camero steering range, hope that helps you and others too, its a great car and im looking forward to the Porsche too.
