I'll be at our national GT3 championship's season opener at Oschersleben in a few weeks time. The garage/paddock area was fairly unrestricted and unobstructed last year so I believe I should have enough opportunity to try and take some photos of cars someone might want to model/needs some detail shots from. According to the entry list (http://www.adac-gt-masters.de/steckbriefe/) the following cars are entered, all GT3: BMW Z4 BMW ALPINA B6 Ford GT Porsche 911 GT3R Chevrolet Camaro Audi R8 LMS Audi R8 LMS Ultra Corvette Z06 Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ Aston Martin Vantage Nissan GT-R Ferrari 458 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG McLaren MP4-12C If anyone's interested in any of those cars, let me know beforehand.
Photos of the cockpits is always interesting for all modders, so if you can, take the "4 sides" of the cockpit you can (front with wheel, wheel, behind the wheel, driver door side, oposite side, and rear (with seat). The photos of the lights (front/rear) in the parallel axe and as close as possible is always useful for real texture for mods.
Yes, such pictures will be very useful. If possible, use longer focal length (more zoom) to have as less side distortions as possible.
Spring rates for as much cars as possible (too bad, there are no damper graphs drawed on dampers bodies! )
Here are some photos, packaged up by car. I've managed to take a fairly decent photo of the Audi R8 fuel intake which I figured is pretty much the same for all cars so it's present in the other packages as well. http://www.trackcreation.net/temp/Porsche_GT3R.zip (47MB) http://www.trackcreation.net/temp/Corvette.zip (20MB) http://www.trackcreation.net/temp/AstonMartinVantage.zip (23MB) http://www.trackcreation.net/temp/McLarenMP4-12c.zip (100MB) http://www.trackcreation.net/temp/Audi_R8.zip (43MB) http://www.trackcreation.net/temp/Nissan GT-R.zip (68MB) There are a few cockpit shots of the Nissan and Porsche but the quality is pretty poor. I'm very thankful to a mechanic on the Fach Auto Tech team who allowed me into their garage to take the Porsche cockpit shots myself and equally thankful to a mechanic on the Schulze Motorsport team who took the cockpit shots of the Nissan for me. For the technical equipment you could look at the Audi R8 photos, one was parked in the pitlane with its side door open. I hope there's something in there that'll help you guys.
