As I'm currently trying to find a compromise for the track loading screen I wish we could just supply two jpg files, one for 4:3 and one for 16:9 aspect ratios. The default 4:3 ratio 1280x960 pixels receives a fair amount of stretch on my 1920x1080 screen which makes the track layout look pretty odd.
or, at the very least, some sort of stretch image + keep aspect ratio + add black bars, like any media player does.
