I did not write it and I apologize but it's the first thing I did to make a clean installation to eliminate any doubt. Usually, before reporting abnormal results, I always try to do the recommended operations .
I agree with you that with my system I should have better results even if the video resolution is important .

On my I5 with a R9-280 Toxic I had a good improvement in FPS, not much time to test, but with mostly high details I can start a race in last position, at dusk, with rain, 19 GT3 AI in front of me, headlights on for at 45/50 fps in 1960x1050. For me this is quite enough as it is a limit condition that I probably will never experience again. For me a good strike in the right direction.

That’s why if they add an all time best and session best you have best of both worlds

Very interesting build. At last performance fixes. I've made a few comparisons and here are my conclusions. Build 1110 brings (in comparison to 1109 dx11) substantial performance rises when settings are maxed out (39-51%) but if rF2 is set to max-fps scenario (for me it is without shadows and reflections) we actually see a little drop in performance (-8% to -2%). What is nice min fps is usually increased no matter of settings.

Here are details of one of my tests on my old PC (i5-750 @ 3.7 GHz + GTX960 4GB @ 1504 MHz):
    FR 2014 1.20 @ Silverstone 1.86 (one lap)

    Scenario 1 (max quality settings):

Scenario 2 (my max-fps settings: shadows off, reflections off):

Guys....the minimum fps that rf2 report must be some moments that game report usually when turning into corners and whole scenery change..other than that if fps is high and have no stuttering or big frame drop that makes game unplayable we must no worry.
minimum fps are just little moments that doesn't really care.
Now game has very smooth fps and beautiful colors.

Minimum FPS is the most important measurement for fluidity, bad minimum FPS is what contributes to stuttering and feeling of frame drop.

Yeah. Min 55/Max 70 is better than Min 25/Max 130

Yeah, but single min. fps is actually useless. That's why benchmarking tools now use 1% low and 0.1% low statistics. It's much more reliable than one maybe accidental lowest value. Frametimes statistics is the way to go today.

I was finally able to run a 2 hours offline endurance race at Sebring with 40 cars and mixed weather condition at 60 FPS stable.
Also , I realized that I was using a track mode ( Daytona) for benchmarking which is not really good ( still huge frame drops on that one).
Thank you studio-397 , the game is now playable.

With this build there aren't Formula Renault and Nola in DevMode anymore, plus rF2 crash at every track loading (Joesville + Skip Barber for example), is this normal? :(

Hopefully future optimisation updates will also apply to min/Off graphic settings which I think most VR users run at ( those like me that try to get solid fluid 90fps )

This update is great for people that like to run at higher settings though & most of them are monitor users

The clock of the 6600k is 3600mhz on all cores, the 7700k has an 4200mhz all core load clock. That and the support of faster ram clock is the only difference in games which only support 4 cores except there are a lot of background tasks actively

    Except when OC'd ! My 6600k was cache 3.9 core 4.6 , 7700k cache 4.2 core 4.6 both on all cores with XMP 3000 .
What games use only 4 cores ? What support more ?

    I’m using a mega 1080ti
Allows for an easy x1.6 in vr super pixel /sample

But my 2600k is a tad old now
( 4.8ghz stable water cooled though)
I think this is why i have to run with details to low , other graphic options off
In fact everything set to lowest possible setting apart from AF trillinier
    ( no AA , etc )

    Might take another look on
    Intel ice lake release ,
maybe it will be a worth while upgrade then

    True.

But some of them like me are monitors user.

The only graphic options I use are circuit details (full), detail texture (full), full detail cockpit, anisotropic X16.

I do not see any difference.
    What a desappointment !

Especially in rainy weather : after 1 year and a half, I still have to turn off the rain, and play with maximum 6 AI.
    ..........

    Very disappointed.

And the stuttering has increased: CTRL + F no longer stops stuttering. (other users have this).

The improvement of the FFB / input is impressive, BRAVO.

What's your setup? What worked well for RF2 a couple of years ago isn't going to cut it now. I had to upgrade my rig and that's something I just had to do as I couldn't run anything new well.

Min track detail saves a lot

-but is this why I get the penalty
    “Exiting pits under red”

What red? If it means a red light ?there is no red light

Things like this together with a freaky pace ghost car really need to be sorted
( pace car should automatically be off for quali & race + best lap should be remembered even after exiting rf2 )

This seems to be a track issue. No?

    No idea

It’s one of those little annoying things like the ghost car issues

Happened to me on Kartsim tracks but has happened countless times before on other tracks
