Yes forgot to save, updated my last post 15:28:45.768 : Car class enum for AUSSIE_LEGENDS not found 15:28:45.769 : Adding a user defined class with ID AUSSIE_LEGENDS 15:28:45.769 : Loaded 82 default car class definitions and 0 user defined car class definitions
cool. That's working - there's actually a little bug in the log message - the user defined car class count isn't getting updated, but the app *is* adding the car class (will be fixed in the next version)
In this post https://forum.studio-397.com/index....h-rfactor-2-support.54421/page-17#post-903314 the class should be taken from the CLASS column in the monitor. The CLASS in Monitor shows 1972 and CarStat shows Class(es)=AL_GC_E49, what to put into carClassData.json?
I removed the message type FUEL and with 1972 as Class the I couldn't hear any fuel message, but with AL_GC_E49 I still had fuel messages, I assume from default settings. So the CLASS from the monitor is the one to use, could be more clear in the mod. 1971, 1972 etc and Super Charged, Original is maybe not the best classes to avoid collisions
Yes, you need to use string from the monitor, that is the only one that's available via rF2 internals model. Unfortunately, very few mods set good class strings, so eventually we'll get collisions (Enduracers is one of the great examples how it should be imho). What CarStat displays is coming from .veh file, and that's not what CC "sees". The easiest way to get class string now is to start your race with your series and search for "Single-class" or "Multi-class" text in the CC console output. CC will list class strings that are mapped or not mapped. Thanks for reporting issue in documentation, fixed.
Could anyone link me to a list of CrewChief commands ? We would like to select one button on the G27 and G29 to talk to Crew Chief while muting Discord. Need a list to see what else we can get this great progam to do. Any advice/ideas very welcome And....thanks again for the great program and Happy New Year to you all !
Hi ceecee, So, three things to check: - first, see Available Actions in the main CC window, that's what you can map to a button. - second, see CC Help and getting started window, section: Voice Recognition. That's where you can see the voice commands. - lastly, see: "\Program Files (x86)\Britton IT Ltd\CrewChiefV4\speech_recognition_config.txt" we add commands often, and help window might miss a few. Happy New Year to you too!
Great ! thanks a lot, looks like we will be talking a lot more to Crew Chief in 2018 ! This is one program that justs get better and better !
One more suggestion on getting the most of the crew chief - make sure to explore available preferences. There's also a search box, you can see game specific settings by entering game name etc Have fun!
@The Iron Wolf not sure if you are aware of this but I have noticed that now I have set the race length to 30 minutes (instead of laps) and go straight to the race or start at the back due to poor qualification, the spotter states you haven't got much time (5 mins) to improve. BTW. Happy New Year & thanks for all the hard work
Thanks for reporting this, I'll try to reproduce it. Meanwhile if you could tell exact steps you take that would help. Do you get it to happen every time? When exactly is the wrong message announced? Happy new year to you too, thanks for kind words
i sort of get the same when i cut off the qualification and move on to race (with time left to qualy). CC says to me you qualied ......place but i start at back of the grid. i always thought it was because i as user choose to abort qualy and go straight to race. edit: i always use number off laps for race. not time
Eddy is this in online or offline session? Next time you hit this please send CC console output my way. There's a problem in how rF2 handles transitions between sessions, positions are updated and plugin is not made aware of it. I spent a lot of time trying to hack around it, but maybe there's more I can do. But don't hold your breath here. Unless game calls scoring update with final positions, I won't be able to fix it 100%
Off line sessions. I will send the file when i encounter it again, but don't spend to much time on it, i don't consider it a big issue.
Using a G27 one has limited buttons on the wheel. I am trying to configure one button when pressed will allow me to talk to Crew Chief while muting Discord. This because listening to you communicating with Crew Chief can be quite annoying for your fellow online players. Problem is muting Discord turns off the microphone (so useless). Would this be possible with TeamSpeak (or any other lightweight comm programs) ? Another idea I had was to keybind Toggle VAD in Discord but holding the same button down to talk to Crew Chief does not seem to work. Any ideas anyone (short of buying a new wheel with more buttons ! ) And....Happy New Year to Crew Chief, The Iron Wolf, S397 and all on this forum
