Meh, trashy article. Speculation by doctors not involved in his care sounds like gossip to me.

When I think of champions and how we compare their feats I get this warped idea.

If Dr. Who took Fangio to 2014 Ferrari test session and Micheal got sent back to 1954 Nürburgring how would they deal with the occasion.

    After their first solid runs:

I imagine Fangio would be smiling and bubbling with expletives and excitement, amazed at the feel of power .....he would just want to tame it and go faster and faster. " More accelerato , less brake ....... "

On the other hand I can't help but picture Micheal arriving back at pits in the W196 with this " total abject look of horror " on his face and muttering something about " ........you will never get me back in that monster "

    hehehe

    Sorry Micheal, get well soon.

It has been reported Michael Schumacher’s doctors have started the process of bringing the former Formula One champion out of the coma.

No, that pretty much covers it. Straight from his manager's mouth, assuming you can trust such reports (hopefully we can).

It's a scary process. They induce the coma hoping any damage will be repaired. If it wasn't, then it's like an explosion and the damage spreads the instant they bring him out. If there is very bad news, we might have it shortly. Good news might vary from him having to learn to walk, talk, etc, to an almost complete recovery. Yes, I used to work in a hospital, but I'm not a Doctor. ;)

I keep hoping for the best for Michael and his family, but this is not looking good for either.
I wish he'd simply wake up and not remember the accident...just be okay.
I feel bad for his kids. He spent all that time racing and suffered only a broken leg.
To have this happen when he should be spending 'quality' time with his family is just horrible.

people have been known to come out of an induced coma after about 8 months to go on to make a full recovery
so hoping the very very best for MS

p.s I hit 50mph on my snowboard today I do wonder if clocking up those kinds of speeds is sensible!

Tripping over while walking can kill you. Greater speed does increase certain statistics, etc. In my opinion you just need to live your life your way, but doing something like wearing a helmet can help. It's only a matter of time before we're not allowed to go outside for a walk without a helmet anyway. ;)

Walk into a lamppost at 2 mph and you will hurt (who hasn't done that), run into a lamppost at 8 mph and you will be lucky not to kill yourself. We are not built for speed, poor Ol Schue we can only hope.
