try to run the rFactor2Dedicated.exe from the core folder directly? from a old desktop shortcut, could have incorrect target.

(win7)uninstalled from control panel (programs and features), deleted everything under original file folder, reinstalled the light download and then reinstalled ISI content only, works fine.

 

Found a bug, cant shift camaro into reverse after shifting from neutral up then coming back down cant go from first to neutral or reverse. It was camaro on nords 0.96 isr online server.

Searspoint elimination solved no start problem for me.

 

will chassis flex be viewable in replays or is it a unseen physics thing?

 

Auto updater worked fine here,,i was using the fixed launcher and still no problems with auto update,dont have sears point or the lexus mod

Just did the Auto Update. I had done the Launcher Fix for the previous build.
On reading of the problem with Sears Point Track I uninstalled and removed it from my packages folder before starting the auto update.

After the update completed rF2 fired up OK, no problem with the Launcher.

Big thanks to those who sussed the problem with Sears, wd. saved me a drama.

Big thanks to ISI for the update.

Off to do some testing.

 

I'm able to in our Camaro. Is the ISR server packing the content into the rfmod, or referencing ours? Is this only happening to you have gone N-1 then back 1-N-R? Does it happen if you start the session and try to go immediately from N-R?

 

Sorry if someone posted this before. I can't read every single comment right now. Since the update I can't get rF2 to start. I have only two non ISI content installed, which would be the Maserati Trofeo Mod and the Nordschleife track 0.96. I did uninstall both and also deleted them from the packages folder. Didn't help.
Please if someone had/has the same problem, be kind and sum it up for me. Thanks.

 

Am I the only one with a performance drop? First time in rF2 that things have gone backwards for me.

Probably a 10-15% drop in frame rates, but more importantly, there is now stutter/juddering at LRP and Silverstone (the only two tracks I have tried). Despite all the discussion on here about stuttering, I have NEVER had stuttering in rF2 until now!

I have a GTX770, which was able to handle all tracks thrown at it under previous builds. Silverstone always ran at about 60 - 70 fps.

Yes, I deleted the contents of the CBash folder before starting up the new build (which needed to have Searspoint removed to run).

Where are the details of what has changed in this build? There may be certain settings I can play with to see if they are sensitive to adjustment compared to before. And, of course, we would like to know what non-graphics things have changed. The grass acting like asphalt for tire temps bug hasn't been addressed...

(And if the only things that have been changed in the last two months are those listed in the official release notes, then we'll still be in beta in 2015.)

 

Then it's something else. Doesn't have to be installed, if that is all you want installed, pull things out of the packages dir somewhere safe as well.

I already did that, Tim. It did not do anything for me.
Here's how I did it:

1.Uninstalled the mods (one at a time to see which one's causing the pain)
2.moved the files from packages to the main directory
3.restarted the launcher multiple times between steps 1 and 2

I get to see the splash screen and then the programm crashes.

None of this affects rf2 for being in package folder or installed. (only god knows if all will not crash playing)
