Its strange for me they work all the time on feels3 tracks, but only sometimes on ISI tracks. I just qualified at Belgium with no reflections, then when i went to race i had them.

Does road reflection only kick in after rain when the sun comes out?

Or is it all/most of the time ?

Yeah, I've just put a few laps in at a rainy Croft and road reflections are there during and after the rain.

    Hi Tim,

first, thanks for the new build.

But there seems to be a bug in the Dev Mode:
When I try to select any other mod, I open the mod selection section, and all of the sudden, all the icons turn black and I can't select anything.
Hope you can fix it :)

    Thanks

The reflections are there on ISI tracks but not very visible its possibly a problem with the darkness of the road or the wet road texture used by ISI. I think the updated ISI tracks 1.4+ have new wet textures applied to road surface which have broken reflection visibility but will depend on a build update in the future rather than track updates to handle reflectance visibility. At Spa you can notice the reflections very easily on the road curbing edge but as soon as they run onto the road they disappear.
Its possible all non ISI tracks will have to be updated as a future build update could have an amplified reflection effect on these tracks.

Can anyone explain the visible difference between old and new reflections.

K Szczech, I think you are insider.

    ?

I'll download croft & try it to test road reflection

(Rf2 not in main use whilst still at this stage in beta so not much content in it etc )

If I had reflections "on" previously then is it the same if I use "high" reflection setting now or is it something better than the previous "on"?

EDIT: Now I have some small graphics bug with high reflections (black spot behind the car).

May ISI staff give us some words about what's being done with the collision model at this stage? What's planned for it? Currently the collisions are (still!) weird and destroying the races.

Cheers for new build! Now we're all waiting for Silverstone, come on guys! :)

Wet road reflections are way better and cooler than before.
I noticed one side effect that makes driving harder for me. When there's trees alongside the track, they suddenly appear in the road reflection, where there's water. You can really see this in Poznan with cloudy weather at 4-5pm.

I guess this is due to the visible objects horizon limit. When trees enter the visible "space", then they also pop up in the reflections,
but a lot of trees randomly appearing on the road while you're trying to drive are really distracting...

Situation improves a bit if I set "Road Reflection" to "Low", but still.

picture of the bug I mentioned: View attachment 8137

EDIT: Seems to be either car or track (Croft) problem. Didn't notice this problem with Corvette in TWS.

Thanks for the update. :) Have you abandoned Torrent as distribution mechanism for the full installer downloads, or are they just not up yet?

Corvette behaves better in slow speed corners again after this build... or am I just imagining?

So little time to test things properly :(
