That is not what their support staff would have you think, It's not like I can confirm or deny either way. But they claim most tracks are scanned. I would imagine that is definitely the case with the newer released circuits (Laguna Seca for example), and probably not the case with the older ones (such as Mid-Ohio/Watkins Glen). Still their Mid-Ohio is arguably the best produced circuit in the game, even if it is not laser scanned. I'd also find it hard to believe that Sonoma was not laser scanned since that is where the company is based, where they have their driving centre.
they scanned lots of tracks, but only Silverstone was actually created from the data... Sonoma was not made from a laser scan nor was Mid Ohio and to my knowledge Laguna wasn't created from scan data either. This is way off topic though.
Yeah, I've seen what they charge for track days . They seem to think the place is super duper special.
I loved Rouen in GPL. Got my first podium finish there. 14 years, 7 months and 20 days ago. http://timwheatley.org/www/1999/03/12/igps1-race-11-rouen I wish I had the time (and probably the patience) to build a track, this would be the one I'd do.
