Well theres not a huge deal to change on them...besides, some people will want the most stable car they can get, others will want something a bit loose
didnt vote but the skippy, im not that impressed by it at all. another tintop would have been better at the moment or the karts to many open wheelers. IMHO fixed setups is crap learn how to set up a car.
His point is if you were to do a skip barber weekend you don't have the option to change the setup of your car. It is what it is.
I cant help but be impressed with the Skippy even though i am also more of a tintop man at heart, just drop a Ford Escort Mexico body shell on it and away we go , and for the minimal things that can be changed then i also think no point locking it, let em tweak away.
Not a very fair poll so I won't vote but I'm fine with some servers being fixed setup, if they are going very realistic. But I prefer free setups. I usually have the cars braking pressure around 92% to avoid quick lockups and only being able to use half my brake pedal. Plus if the car is understeering I like to be able to fix it
In every fixed setup league I ran in steering lock, brake pressure and brake bias were always adjustable.
Yes. I would love to play online to see who is the best virtual driver, not the best virtual mechanic.
Actually, I just read the thread title. Is this in regards to ALL skippy servers? If so, no. Should there be fixed setup servers? Heck yeah. Would be bloody interesting XD
where is the link between setups not being fixed and not knowing how to drive.. .retarted poll imo. it shouldnt be fixed .. dosent mean i dont know how to drive..
for me diferent drivers diferents setups, everyone has his way driving, and maybe you could be so fast with one setup and so slower with another one, and others could be so fast with the setup that makes you slower... I have to admit that normally i use default setup, and is going great, but i'm turtle driver..
And again another Debate about SIM Maybe in Real life Skippy uses a fixed Setup (I'm not sure about that, if this kind of school is for longer periods) Anyways, IMHO if you are faster with the fixed setup, that primarily shows that this Setup fits better to your driving style and only secondary that you're the faster driver.
I will not vote on anything where opinions have been put into the voting options. The voting options should be, Yes, No, Let the server decide. There is no need for the comments.
Until some good samaritan create an server with locked setups, this could be usefull: http://www.sim-racing.co.uk/pdf/Skippy-Tuning-Guide-2012-S2.pdf
