Very realistic looking indeed! For me the colors are spot on for an overcast weather. Also I love how the curb looks :)

I`d say that it`s a screen taken straight from the game for sure...

    Looks really good indeed. :)

That's what revealed it for not being real photo. For a while I was thinking someone put those low-res spectators to a real photo as a joke. :) Looks very nice indeed and think that's what sim should look like. ISI's decision to create realistic lighting system based on daytime, weather, air humidity, etc. is very ambitious and it will be interesting too see how realistically looking they're able to make it. Certainly a right decision for racing sim IMHO.

Have you edited those pictures? Or do colours look that realistic when cloudy? Looks really good.

Sunny conditions don't look good atm. The specular reflections are to diffuse and the alpha channel on the car skins is almost invisible.
I imported some stuff into an older build (with better specular reflection) and after heavy tweaking of the hdr profile i got this result. Check the grey parts of the car skin. Looks almost like chrome. Also reflection on headlights is much better. The trees have nice shadowed areas. The problem with this build is that there is no fresnel reflection.
All screen shots were made under wet conditions in devmode.

Those are really nice shots and very realistic although the sky`s a bit "blown" in the second shot...

Overcast does make for good shots imo too. :)

Nice Tosch, I like the first two, the second shows off the car really well. Shows what can be done very nicely...

How`d you get the wet track with a completely blue sky?

Wow, looks amazing. I don't know if the grey colour should look like chrome but anyway it looks awesome. Why can't we have this effect on all chromed details? The old F1's exhaust and engine for example (and all other chrome details on those beautiful cars)!

Chrome on Spark and EVE must be the worst I have seen :p

Just one thing... I think colours are a bit too dark in your pic, green should be...greener! etc. But reflections looks much better. It's interesting to see how rfactor2 can look.

Not necessary. It depends on season, weather condition, time of day and many others factors. Grass...and whole vegetation it's really complicated stuff, there isn't something like one proper colour for grass :)

Check these my three shots, each one is from different track. Which of them has realistic grass colour? :) IMO, hard to say, and I think all of them have realistic colour, this one from LRP too.

Check also grass on Palm Beach by ISI, it has much more intense grass colours.

    Poznan

    Putnam Park

    Croft

    BTW. Great shots Tosch.

You're probably right :p It's just...it looks a bit too dark, image overall not only grass.

I really like your "Poznan-grass" :) And the track seem to have such a depth!

What the hell. How do you get such amazing colors? My ingame HDR looks like somebody threw a Fanta on it :D

    @Hedlund_90

I don't know if lighting needs more intesity, hard to say, maybe you are right :)

But if we're talking about grass I think much more can offer 3d grass.

Just for example, 3d grass added by K Szczech (shots from rfactor 1 ) . Intensity depends on viewing direction and it really improve visual feelings :)

Yes 3D grass can make a big difference. Have you considered using it for any of your future tracks mate? Those shots of K Szczech's look great. If i remember rightly in rFactor, a version of Suzuka had 3D grass but it also had a weird greenish/yellow filter added to the track which i didn't like but the grass looked good back then at the time.

I can do brighter pictures too. :)
With the bright concrete and the low white point it looks like a copy from the standard AC screen shot. ;)
