Try to disable AMD Tessellation in CCC. use application settings.
    Improve performance for me...
    ...But still have problems.

Tesselation is a DX11 feature only, so this setting has no effect whatsoever. Crap framerates here too, with stutering.

hd 7200rpm Defraged by folder and filename.

I had really bad fps earlier on then i notice my Afterburner OSD showing my GPU was stucked on 2D mode clock. I fixed that and now the framerates is acceptable. :)

But my GPU usage won't go >85%.. mostly around 70%. Before i disabled few eye candy, it was around 50%-60%. :(

I have pretty disappointing fps too(min <30, max <50), with a mix of full and high and 2xaa 8xaf(10 cars max), expected better, it can only get better...

    My specs:
    i5 2500k 3.7ghz(on turbo)
    16gb ram
    5850 11.12 driver
    XFI Gamer
    Win7 64bits

I have 2 4870's crossfired and FPS is not actually my issue. Im getting about 115 with details on high in most sections of the tracks. I do seem to have a major problem with stuttering or micro freezes. Anyone experiencing this as well?

I set all settings to low or off and I have no any problems with stutterings of freezes, fps is 90 and more.. And I have very low-performance and old PC.
But I can run Shift2 on medium-settings and Shift2 has much better graphics than rfactor2. So I think rf2 needs huge work for its optimization

I think everyone has the same problem I hope that the first update will correct this problem.

Another thing to make a career night with annoying megane car too light. No matter with you?

a greeting to the children of ISI encouragement.

Your PC is better than mine so you should get at least the same if not much better.

    I also have a 5850 with 4gb ram, i5 750 @3.2ghz set up like this.

    settings are

    Circuit detail high
    medium
    medium
    medium
    16x anisotropic
    medium
    medium
    Shadow blur off
All the rest off or no

Anti aliasing is at level 2
    15 AI cars

I'd try the 12.1 preview drivers, they gave me a 50% fps boost but I have to drop out of the game to desktop and back to see it go up. Quitting to desktop made no difference with the older drivers 11.1 and this only happens in rF2 other games don't get the fps boost.

I still have stutter though even at 70fps and the same in rF1 at 200 fps.

try to decrease your resolution. High resolution drop your framerate very hard

I can run Crysis 2 and Battlfield 3 at the highest in full hd with my modest c2d e8400 @ 4 ghz and my 5870.

I'm not gona tweak rF 2 so it looks like rFactor to be able to run it normaly.
I'll wait an update, or final release.

    Guys, Other importante thing....

GPU Clock don't switch to 3D clock. In my case should be 850mhz but it remais in 2D clock, only 400mhz...

Graphic card don´t recognise Rfactor 2 as 3D aplication. Already have 12.1a drivers

ISI guys please tell us something, are you trying to see what is happen. It's a little anoying buy a beta that i can´t even play. Only see AI's racing alone with 25/35fps....

I have a decent system here myself and running the game in eyefinity I am getting about the same FPS as most of the guys with decent systems here are getting, only I no longer have any stuttering at all and the game is running very smooth and solid for me, I posted this up just now to explain how I got my game sorted How I fixed my stutters

It's not fully correct. The graphics-driver is switching down your core rate, if the graphics card is not fully occupied.
If you'll reach over 70% utilization, your card will clock up the core.

    Sry for my english ;)

    I'm running a i5 2500k@4.7ghz & 2 HD6970 in crossfire and my fps is generally ok around 120ish @ 1080p
I don't use HDR, environment reflections & wind motion while non of the other settings are maxed but are mixed between high & medium. AA at Level 3 & AF at X8

But there are some major FPS drops occuring when going trough certain corners and passing pitlane.
Especially late in a race when there are 20 cars retired my fps can drop to 18 on Mills when passing pitlane.
Estoril is pretty much poor all around while Sepang is pretty good, apart obviously from pitlane and the starts.

My game also sometimes goes in slow motion while driving, don't really know how I can fix that

In your player.PLR file under the [Graphics Options] list, lower the " Extra Visible Vehicles="10" // Extra vehicles shown in non-driving situations " line. It defaults to something like "105". I set mine to "10". See if that works for ya.

Mine (ATI HD5700, 1 GB DDR5 VRAM) is working normally. The GPU clock move up from 400MHz (2D) to 850MHz (3D), while the VRAM "speed" will change from 850MHz to 1350MHz. I'm using AMD Phenom II Quad Core, 3.1GHz, with 4GB DDR3 RAM. The graphic card is using the latest driver from AMD, version 12.1a.

With this system, rFactor 1.55 will run with more than 150 FPS, everything on full setting, 1280x720, and with 25 AI in-field (25 car visible), and the graphics look beautiful as well. No Anti Aliasing though. Anisotropic Filtering is at 4x.

But in rFactor 2, the max FPS is around 30-ish. HDR is off, no reflection, no wind, no sun occlusion, while everything else is on max. No AA, and even no AF, only trilinear filtering.

And of course, lots of bugs! Especially in replay mode (choppy movement, no tires, no wings, etc). :D

I know this is still a beta, so I'll wait for the next version. Hopefully ISI will optimize their graphic engine (gMotor) for ATI users. It seems to me that nVidia users are not affected that much, only ATI users.

On the plus side, I love the new tire model. No more spinning at low speed. The handling feels more natural now. I could react to slip or spin in natural way. Definitely love the new pMotor! :)
