rfactor 2 beta video's

Here's some onboard laps, throwing the Spark F1 around Monaco.

This was an online race I started from pole, I was going to push first couple of laps trying to create a gap.
Always very exciting on Monaco with full tank, no driving aids, h-shift and not much grip!

Only the first two laps recorded because of disk space. I really need to buy another HD to make longer movies

(btw not sure if you did it intentional, but you can hide the interface by pressing enter key in that replay view.)

how do you manage to get this amazing picture quality?
my replays don't look that good even though i have replay fid on full and after youtube encoded my lossless h264 mp4 it's horrible.

That´s cool with the wiper, (with the hands too, but I´m still longing for the gearchange animation to be added).

is it because helmet is just not that good or because of youtube?

 

Youtube confuses the hell out of me. I have made videos that look great on my machine that it trashes, and videos that I think look bad which end up looking sharper on Youtube.

 

it doesn't only differ from divx, xvid to h264. it's also different depending on your h264 settings: baseline, main, high, stat/dyn gop ..........................................................


but i have no idea which ones it likes and which ones it doesnt.

i'm using dxtory and vegas too.
but i dont use vegas as an encoder, because it will always destory the quality for 1080p.
i just save as raw and use megui or avidemux after that, with h264 at a const quali setting.

btw i saw that you are using 59.99 fps even though yt recommends 25 and 30 fps.
have you ever tried to record the game with 25 fps?
