"If you are uneasy about purchasing a product without first being able to try it"... Only if it's an EA game, . If I could, I would have pre-ordered rF2 the moment it was announced. I don't know as much as I should about modding rFactor, but I sure in hell am gonna try it out. Even if I can't make new vehicles or tracks, there's still animations, buildings, objects and such to mess with.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz When i wake up i might have rf2 beta,or i might have some more material showing me all the groups that have rf2 beta and all the new menus, features, etc etc. If you say you are putting something together, why dont you add it will be ready to download on the 11th or 12th,not we are doing this but it could be another 4 months, anyway goodnight.
Back to a serious side for a sec, those files we have already downloaded will we still need them or will it be repacked?
They are mod files, there is no need for them to be repacked at all ... these will not be part of the installer I believe
Correct ^ Once the installer has finished, you will have a "packages" folder in My Docs: My Documents/rFactor2/Packages http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/first-time-install/
The rFMod files are the tracks and cars. What will be released is the program itself (less than 500mb). Drop these (or any mod) into the Packages folder and install from within the sim or use an external mod manager that comes with the program.
