I agree with you, I was just wondering why they are "worried" about releasing a beta...

we all no its not the final product, we are all rfactor fans, wanting to join the beta so we can give you at ISI the feedback if there are problems, or bugs.. so you can make the game, the final ,the best simulated driving experience that you would ever get on a normal pc...

Slower form of release can only really mean giving access to different 'groups' at different times. And all you need is one of those to leak the link.

It could also mean releasing less content per time span.

I was thinking it was a reference to the .exe itself.

Guys like I said TORRENTS.... slow download means slow release, not everyone would get it at the same time, I promise you this will happen, ISI don't have the time to hand out batches of codes to selected people.

This is probably what they are talking about when they say "Waiting on the community to calm down"
I can imagine that they would release it to "groups" only to have it leaked...

Like I said earlier guys, Calm down. All thats happening right now is speculation, Which leads to false expectations. Just relax. Whatever happens will happen.

Torrents would only speed up the process. There would be less stress on their servers and the large amounts of people downloading will ensure everyone has near max speed.

The only people that would be left behind are those that have their torrents throttled by their ISP (I do on BT (2kb/s on the evenings and full speed every other time)).

Not entirely true, I know alot of popular torrents that are slow as hell all the time, whatever the speed people's download will all finish at slightly different times, easing strain on the payment system, think about it, they used torrents to release the track and car mod files.

Exactly. Torrents suck in my opinion. I've used them quite a bit but http is just fine.

Even if it was released via a directly download link then everyone has different and varying download speeds. They would end at different times.

Plus it won't screw over those with BT. Although I do agree torrents are the way to go initially despite being throttled.

They do indeed, I just have a way of getting torrents through http so that's my real reason behind wanting that! lmao.
