[REL] Storm Gang Simulation Trans Am Golden Era 1968-1972

Hey my friends!
Today I present you the beautiful Chevrolet Camaro from the Golden Era Trans Am mod, developed by Stormgang Simulation and International SimRacing.
On the road we are in Pittsburgh, another beautiful roller coaster race track from North America.

Great mod. I only have one problem, the steering wheel rotation, are you going to fix that?

 

I asked Ross via Discord.
They have to replace the whole driver animation.
It is limited to 450 degrees.
It's a lot of work unfortenaly..

There is a small typo error in the TA_Dodge_Chall_42.veh -> Classes="Trans-Am-Golden-Era-('68-'72), TrAm-Dodge -hallenger"

I gave the Trans Am mod a driver with a 900 degree steering wheel animation and swapped it with the old driver.
To be precise from the HGT mod. Also developed by unknown. It is far from perfect.
The update package also includes the Simed3D file.
It looks like Simed3D doesn't always export exactly as intended in the preview.
The heads of the drivers still need to be adjusted.
If you have the will, you are welcome to do so.
As a VR driver, I am glad that there is finally a synchronised steering wheel.
The update can be found in the description and only serves as a transition until SGS fixes it themselves.
Or you (SGS) can use this update if you wish.
Great work by SGS to give the vehicles their exact suspensions.

Nice work, personally to me the steering mismatch is big hit on perception, immersion and even feel of how car drives up to a point that it even seems to me like physics are worse. I hope the team picks on this solution if it doesn't have other side issues..

If a future update is planned
Is it possible to remove the “am” and “pro” category in the rf2’s select car list?
in this way choosing the car would be much clearer and usable
