Thanks, It seems to work now. I use Ermin Hamidovics Settings for the DD1. SEN - car specific for example 540 for 540° in game FF - 50-60 FFS - LINEAR NDP - 25 NFR - 003 NIN - OFF INT - OFF FEI - 100 FOR - 100 SPR - OFF DPR - OFF
You are upgrading from 6Nm (TS-PC) to 18+Nm (DD2). Any issues you have with clipping will be down to your settings and understanding how to set them. Most seem to have resolved the graininess by changing a couple of settings in the controller profile, especially removing the damping. A few haven't fixed it this way.
DD1 is still 15Nm, which is heaps. (15 sustained, up to 20) The motor itself won't clip on any of its settings, and in-game clipping is unchanged no matter which wheel you use. I doubt your TS-PC has much clipping either on its 100%, so as long as you don't overdo the in-game FFB mult you shouldn't have many issues. The thrustmaster 'boost' setting you've mentioned elsewhere is a bit of a mystery in regards to what it does (probably need a game dev familiar with wheel FFB to explain it, and how rF2 will or won't utilize it) and it's possible you're introducing clipping by using it in other titles (or in rF2, depending on json settings) but you, personally, may prefer strong forces over linear zero clipping. If you ever do get a DD wheel that may change a bit, as the strength will be more than you can manage anyway.
Thank you very much this is the only thing that has solved the problem I had this problem for months, now it feels perfect Thanks for sharing!!!
I have this issue, GT DD All suggested changes in here do not work, can't find a ingame or fanatec setting that removes the issue, Did anyone ever get to the bottom of it, Thanks
I've had the issue for a long time (Fanatec DD2). The grainy feeling comes at indefinable times, sometimes not at all, sometimes more often and on all cars and tracks. Unfortunately none of the suggestions above work for me either. Unfortunately, that doesn't help you either, but it shows that it's a problem that many users have and where you should investigate more deeply. Personally as last resort I will change the manufacturer of the base in due course.
Yeah from what I can see, there are other threads out there with the same issue just different titles l, and I can't see a official response anywhere, As you say, it's so random and impossible to reproduce, Unfortunately I don't have the money to be buying a different brand, only got my fanatec setup this past year, just gotten back into rf2 because of lfm and this is a bit of a game ruining experience
sorry for this little bit off topic, but is Fanatec the problem ? I can see most of the problems are with Fanatec.
I think it's a fanatec with rfacter 2 combo from the posts I've seen, and looks like it's been going on for many years, How odd that this has never been addressed
From what I can see, unless I've missed some threads, only the community have attempted fixes, Which I find crazy given fanatec are so widely used in sim racing, you would have thought it would have been addressed a long time ago, Maybe it's just not fixable
