Hi all, Thanks for the work @doddynco . As you can see, we are still busy on this mod, even if we don't talk all the time on the forum. Next release of track will be Spa. Last but noit least, as Doddy is hardly working on 1986 cars, i'm still focus on graphical updates of this collection. This is some two other pics from what i'm working on. Cheers and stay tuned..
Great work both of you! Could you give us just a walkthrough how you did those gfx changes to the ASR Mod with screenshots or even a tut video please? Thx
Well, this is something i would consider in the future because i think that can help others to mod things. Of course, to diffuse it's another story and absolutely need the agreement of the mods authors. The only thing that is missing is the time for me And it's not easy to explain on text. Better a video.
To my understanding it relates to the modern IBL/PRB shader itself how the shader operates. since youre probably using it right? its probably a combination of the texture maps and the new shader. the new shader can bring cars from antique RF1 shaders to 10 years ahead on time if you do it right.
Hi guys, A little gift for christmas. Spa Francorchamps is added in 1986 historical edition tracks https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2618731740 AGain, all with PBR effects, rain puddles maps and a new Aiw. Next, i give you 2 videos with the track and our WIP for the AI of this mod. These videos are from cockpit view and tv cam. The story is that i drive Gherard Berger car with a more agressive strategy (medium tyres) and Teo Fabi is driven by Ai with a more conservative one in mind (hard tyres and less agression in talent file). The Aiw path file is in the track of course but the talent file and all the physics are still WIP for @doddynco and i. So be patient Just enjoy the fight. PS : I saw a lot of bad comments about rf2 these days. I don't want to tell if people are wrong or right, but just let tell you one thing. The more deeper inside this sim you go, the more the magical part appear... Happy viewing Cheers
@trollray & doddynco - superb videos highlighting the sim experience we aspire to. Thank you for your creative abilities that you share so generously with us. Long live modders!
Hello I just tested Spa, it's a great job! It's a real pleasure to ride on these old-fashioned cricuits and to immerse yourself in those times when F1 still had a soul .... And the Benetton with its physique is pure driving! This is why we appreciate RF2. Thank you for your work and if this simulation can continue to live, it is also thanks to people like you, it should not be forgotten. Well done and happy New Year's Eve
Amazing attention to detail, incredible mod - appreciate the huge amount of passion and time that must go into this. Just curious if one day you will release the 1987 season? Seems it is only out for RF1 unless I missed it in this post.
Thats some really nice bmw straight 4 turbo enginesound. i do really like it myself. nice work on the tracks and the cars, the 1980s tracks are really jumping ahead on quality and presentation. Keep doing the nice work
Hi all of you. Big thanks for the feeback and support As a gift for christmas, i have done a new track. Montreal is added and some minor tweaks for others already released. Happy driving Last but not least, i wishes the best to all of you and your familly. With all the older era's mods cars or tracks that are growing in this sim, i defenitely see a very nice 2022 year to all vintage cars lovers. This sim is just the only one that could handle the older cars like this. Maybe something to think about from s397 hehe Cheers, merry christmas and happy new year (in a little advance )
Thank you very much for your beautiful work, Montreal is beautiful! But thank you even more for the kind wishes to all of us, very much the same to you and your family my friend.
i have a low card and for me these tracks are not the best of all if only i would can buy a recent graphic card i would find it with an just think
I feel the community is giving us the xmas presents instead of the studio. Thank you all so much, you keep this wonderful thing alive.
Incredible driving @trollray - what a demon! It's nice to see that the physics are drivable despite being uncompromising. I was mesmerized whilst watching the physics of the car in someone elses hands as it helps me verify that the car is behaving as intended. AI lines working brilliantly thanks to Trollray's work (barely looks like ai at all) - very competitive. Now we must blend in the rest of the field. I've not had the setup to work properly on the mod over the past few months but I'm now settled in my new home. I'm looking forward to sinking myself back into the project and getting these beasts out on the track. Merry Christmas to you all - thank you for your kind words and your interest in the project.
I confirm that the AI lines are great. Earlier today I did 15/20 practice laps on the M1 Procar (not the ODS endurance M1) and the AI was behaving beautifully. I did get after some laps the tarmac and some other textures going pitch black (as if the track had lost access to the textures).
