Could it be possible to make mirrors on VR to look more realistic. I mean like to see the car sides etc. I like how they are implemented on iRacing and with Content Manager mods on Assetto corsa too. But old and gold Live for Speed showed the most realistic VR mirrors that I've ever experienced. LFS has 3D stereoscopic mirrors and the head movement on mirrors looks exactly like on real car. LFS has even virtual head showing on mirrors. That was immersion boost x100 I mean this is one of those not really necessary things but that would complete the otherwise perfect packet of simulation.
+1 Yes. In VR you notice immediately that the view is not adjusted for head movement. rFactor simply renders the rear view mirrors by looking backwards from a virtual position in space (that's why no part of the car's exterior or interior is in the picture). Track details also drop very quickly in the distance which I find distracting. I would also like a simple dialog for adjusting the mirrors. Fiddling with the keyboard in VR is bloody annoying.
The odd thing is if you had track IR when RF2 was dx9, mirror tracking with head movement was implemented...so much for progress.
This, at least, you can adjust. Check item 4 here: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/mirror-adjustment-guide-and-tips.60593/
Yes, Dynamic mirrors in VR are becoming the norm these days. LFS and iRacing have had them for quite some time. Even AC has them working now. Soon, any title not having them will be in the "Sim-Racing Hall of Shame".
What are some vehicles that support this? I’ve tried the setting in the past and never saw a difference.
Self In Rearview#":"Empty for nothing, * for everything, otherwise list comma-delimited instances you want _removed_", What value do I have to put? to show the back of the car or sides of the car? It can be activated that when looking back the rear of the car is seen?
