Finally did it!! Wanted to have my own skin/livery for some time, but not very familiar,.... uuh not at all. Did made some rather nice designs in the Forza series. So, not a realistic skin/livery just a fantasy skin, but did put a lot of time in it. First in getting the lines correct with the shape of the body. After this also at the end, figuring out all the new shades; but I managed. Pretty amazed by the details you can put in, which you can't see in the photo's. Not sure about the base orange color, but tomorrow I finish some other colors: light blue, lime green, yellow, gold and grey. So also my friends can have their own colour. So, long story short; I'm a happy camper. ps. Seems this topic is more about sharing a link,.... but just wanted to show it. Did search for the 'right' topic.
Download, install, move their teams.mas from their "GEC" folder to the main car version folder, uninstall. Good to go. I haven't started the .mas install method for my skins, but I just feel it is the most reliable with the most features at this point.
it is separately, look at the link to racedepartment..... He just mentioned its also included in the GEM. I do get why you dont want to install a mod ...
I will investigate, thanks. I have in the past used some skin packs but unpacked them and reinstalled as separate skins but it's very time consuming to do.
Yeah I'm starting to transition to just having the cars in a .mas and placing that in the Installed/Vehicle/[Car] folder. Even with using the Virtual rides (User/player/settings) the cars can still get broken. The latest update broke my Porsches and BMWs
Yep that is true this reliance on a particular veh for Virtual Rides is annoying why not have a generic one where the name stays the same and they update it? Over all for personal use I think MAS file way is the best least clunky way I wish 397 would remove the link between the latest version number for the mod install approach but hey I also wish they would fix issues with the virtual rides (like categories, classes, unique names... ) also.... guess I will keep wishing Guess there are smarter minds than me looking at it ...

Could someone do some 2020 24H Series 991 Class skins? #980 MRS GT Racing #991 NKPP by Bas Koeten Racing #909 DUWO Racing #978 Speedlover #979 Speedlover
So was watching 50+ Porsche Cup cars head around Le Mans last week and it triggered some motivation to finish my Australian 2019 skin pack (I have 4 to go..) this one was going to be the most challenging so far looking pretty good...
Slight detour from PCC skins back to Bathurst 12h 2019 I know its the wrong model but its the best available I thought I would attempt the easy one first ...
Nice, forgive my ignorance but did you release a Grove car in a previous skin pack (2019) or was this one of the missing skins?
I'm pretty sure all 488 GT3 skins (2016-present) will make its way to this model. I'm at a point where I'm ok with that. It would be great if we could extract the physics and apply those to the previous gen models. The skin looks great!
I am very slowly working on two bigish skin packs PCC Australia 2019 (22 cars) and Bathurst 12 hour 2019 (30+ Cars) both are about 95% finished I have shown a pic of the grove cup car car from Bathurst 12 but as yet have not released it unfortunately.
Yes mate I agree the right model would be a bonus but you work with what you have. I have been influenced by Woochoo and Chief Wiggum (70's mod) these are not perfect replicas but once you are in the cockpit driving they are immersive and importantly fun.... And the 397 content on a whole is the same (just wish they did not have so many icons and break skins with each update lol )
