Hi all, New to the forum so please go easy on me. I've tried using the search tool to find an answer but having successfully hosted a server yesterday and it working fine. Today when anybody tries to connect they are seeing 'A non-recoverable error occurred during a database lookup.' Any idea what could be causing this? I've tried recreating the mod file but still no joy.
Same error here, with a workaround rather than a fix: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/a-non-recoverable-error-occurred.65478/ (don't worry, the forum search can be temperamental!)
Thanks for your reply. I did already have the mod on the local client but it didn't work. However most randomly I've found that by setting the server password to a simple one (instead of complex) it has resolved the issue! How bizzare!
A good way to search forums is to put this into google search: site:forum.studio-397.com your search topic
Nice find! There might be a particular character (or character range) that doesn't work. I'd say S397 will need to investigate that at some point.
^ that symbol edit: I was trying to do the Steam login with the CMD and my password had ^ in it. Bad symbol for cmd prompt apparently.
Hi - I have just rented a dedicated server. I'm also getting the same error when I try to join the server. I have all the mods that are part of the server. What is the problem ? any one has any idea Thanks
