    cpu and cpu icons

Unless these have changed, the green is not the gpu and the purple cpu. They are both cpu. One is the physics thread and the other is the graphics thread. https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/cpu-time-graph-what-does-it-show.28856/#post-471825

    Tire temperature model

Rising from 1.3 bar to shall we say 1.95 bar is quite a rise. A quick calculation suggests the air inside the tyre must have risen from 25 C to 110 C which seems very hot. One weakness of the rF2 tyre temperature model is (I believe) it doesn't simulate brake heat raising tyre pressure by...

    Brakes wear.

rF2 has its roots in rF1 which has its roots in the EA F1 series. F1 brakes are primarily driven by disc wear rather than pad wear, and the brake discs can fail very spectacularly, if you get the brake cooling wrong (F1C included brake duct settings). And of course there are no brake disc...

Lando Norris talks about Rfactor 2

I think sims still have a long way to go in terms of physics. A race engineer form the 24hr event said that real life setups won't work in rF2. I have also heard the same concerning ACC. I'm not picking on rF2.

    Released Ferrari 488 GTE

The Ferrari is the quickest GTE car in rF2. I'm sure that helped Ferrari approval.

Its all just guess work in the end.....

I'm not saying Niels is making this error, but many people seem to be linking the current criticism of the iRacing tyre model (it isn't forgiving at and beyond the limit) with the pros and cons of physical vs empirical tyre models. Iracing's unforgiving handling is not because they use a...

SHOCKING CONTENT**Pro racer compares iR with AC,**SHOCKING CONTENT

A number of racing drivers have been saying this for years including Rene Rast. Although a big iRacer, Nicki Thiim also has also been making this point recently. Another is Joseph Newgarden.

Looking for a way to check the stationary ride height of my car

I always thought the ride height in the setup screen is the ride height when stationary. The ride height you specify is the ride height you get with whatever fuel level, springs cambers and pressures you opt for. In that sense it is dynamic.

What S397 car content for rF2 for the not far future ?

No. EA had an exclusive license with Porsche which has expired. Ferrari cars have appeared in AC, ACC, iRacing, PC2, Forza, GT Sport, Codies F1 series and Grid for example. They just have the reputation of being an expensive license.

LMP1 is DEAD! Long live LMH hypercar!

The pinnacle of endurance racing should be a prototype IMO, not a modified road car. A modified road car is a GT.

    Historic GT & Touring Cars

They would have to get Slightly Mad Studios who made most of the cars. This might be tricky. And Neils Heusinkveld who made much of the physics. He does appear in rF2 credits but he is concentrating on his pedal business and isn't a fan of rF2's tyre model, so that might be tricky too. The...

    GT3 - soft\medium tyre?

The rF2 GT3's appear to use Pirelli rather than Michelin tyres. The Blancpain series, which uses Pirelli tyres, is limited to one slick compound. Having said that, rF2 is not trying to simulate the Blancpain series and so you can argue multiple compounds are fine.

PCars 3 to be more like NFS Shift.

How will you see? Do you have access to the source code? Reiza have access to the source code. They know what they are trying to simulate. They are in a far better position to judge than you. All you have are feelings - i.e. likes and dislikes.

PCars 3 to be more like NFS Shift.

So you are saying you do like pCars?

PCars 3 to be more like NFS Shift.

You haven't understood my point. I'm saying there is no such thing as a "true simulation". How is a "true simulation" defined? I googled it and came up with nothing. Really there are only simulations you like, simulations you have no strong feelings about and simulations you don't like...
