People telling BS again to defend rF2 where is nothing to defend. That´s kind of funny....

He's right though. You can't have an out of date/crap system and exepect it to work flawlessly.

I use an AMD FX6300 and have a 1050ti. I can't run Fallout 4 on ultra, I can't run AC on ultra; I can't run Arma III on ultra. It's an average system.

If I want to, I've got to upgrade. That's a simple fact.

Omg man, cmon how it can be then i can play ac on max without any troubles, and dont bs me that rf is more demanding, well if it is, it is then a crap game since the graphic in rf is not even close to ac

An i5 is still a good gaming CPU, even if several generations old. Tom's hardware has a list of CPU's here where they have ranked them in brackets based on gaming performance from multiple games. Every i7/i5 up to third gen is still in category one. The improvement from Intel ever since 2011 has been around 6% per generation, so from that you can extrapolate how little CPU's have improved. The upcoming 9th gen CPU's from Intel supposedly will have a bigger jump, but I will believe it when I see it. And Ryzen single core performance is still on level of 5th gen Intel, so there is no gain there either over older i5's.

I have a similar issue (new to build 1110) where the shadows are drawn about 6 car lengths in the distance. Try changing the camera view. Does the shadow distance improve when from the rollbar/roof camera?

If so, try this low-tech solution:
    1) At the start of the race, I switch to rollbar camera
    2) I then use the camera down/camera forward functions to get the camera back the approximate cockpit position.
    3) The camera down/camera forward need to be held, so I stick the keyboard keys down with BluTack.
    4) Now my camera is almost at the right position and the shadow distance fixed.

It is. rF2 is a CPU killer.

    Assetto Corsa:
    • Processor: AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GHZ, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHZ.
    • Memory: 2 GB RAM.
    • Graphics: DirectX 10.1 (AMD Radeon HD 6450, Nvidia GeForce GT 460)
    rFactor 2
    • Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or 3.0 GHz AMD Athlon II x2.
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM.
    • Graphics: nVidia GTS 450 or AMD Radeon 5750.

The combination of smart AI and very robust physics make it pretty hard on the CPU. It's why it runs so much worse than its graphics would suggest.

how many ppl with old cpu have no stuttering with RF 2 ?
    just report
maybe stuttering affects old cpu only for some reason
    cpu's 4 years or older ?
    just report.

    Here an i7-920 stock (8M Cache, 2.66 GHz) a real old CPU, 2008 :( combined with a AMD R9 290.
No stuttering at all and a noticeable improvement with v1110.
Now can run Post Effects on Medium, had it off before.
Sync GPU, Level 4 AA on Samsung 40" TV.

I5 4690k stock speed no stuttering, this cpu launched in 2014.

Smooth as butter even though my gtx 1060 6gb has the green bar full, running triples.

Middling system yet runs butter smooth

    I have a I7 3770K at standard clock.

Since the new update rf2 runs absolute great. Everything is maxed out except pp effects on mid.

I get 50 capped fps in cockpit view. At night and with rain I get a slightly lower framerate.

People with lower spec pcs have better gameplay than you,so it’s pointing to your system at fault

I don’t use sync, and i though ideally you want head room on both cpu and gpu.

Yep could agree if other games behave the same, but not claiming that it is impossible that my specific spec is somehow not working with rf, but why

Really I though a full green bar meant your gpu is bottlencking your cpu, which mine is

    No it is fine
I have the full bar with adaptive sync, while the real utilization is around 17 %

    Ok

But still what I said stands,if people are having better gameplay with lower spec hardware than you, doesn’t that point to your system being the culprit,or a combination of rf2 and your system not playing nice together.
We all know rf2 needs a lot more optimising but it begs the question
