this is really great guys. i know a UI overhaul is pretty low on the list of what both users & presumably ISI devs value but i really believe this will help sales, esp if/when rf2 goes to steam.
Thanks matf1 for solving issues devs should. How to undo that "forced setup" car-track-combo please? Used it accidentially as I thought it forced a "fixed setup" for all. edit: also, wasn't rf2 running in 64bit formerly???
Crash on exit (regular and devmode) but error box is behind rf screen...couldn't alt_tab and had to guess where to click to close.
I have a problem, I cant play on widescreen (1920x1080). The game run a 4:3 ascpect ratio. any solution? PS: I edit config.ini now it works. ISI pls give back the checkbox on configurator.
Many thanks ISI. Very good optimization. There's a bug not fixed. On Silverstone, AI cars cannot take out pits, they strike pillars.
Its only me that have this problem? tehre is 1PM and sometimes monitor becames almost black for less than a second... Less than five seconds from one screenshot to another....
My old Launcher said today's date and "Build 880 available!" Updater actually worked, though, to successfully find and install 906. Finally, no manual install required. New Launcher graphics look nice--clean and simple. If I select Mod Manager, it launches, but then when exiting the Mod Manager, the Launcher crashes upon return. I had no issues with aspect ratio, but the shadows still look like crap and no desperately needed fixes to lighting/HDR and reflections that I was secretly hoping would finally get addressed this time (including issues like the one shown immediately above). Looking forward to testing (later) and reports from others on the new FFB parameter. No mention of tire physics or other long-awaited substantial updates I can only say it's a good thing ISI's competitors have so much difficulty with fundamental physics and realism or rF2 would have been on the ignore list long ago. The pace of development of fixing things that used to work and adjusting things that are glaringly out of range (across core, various tracks and various cars) is appalling. The introduction of new updates like the tire physics that will permit oval racing (being able to properly use content already released) is not quite appalling...just frustratingly slow. Sorry, but this is an underwhelming update from my perspective unless there is a bunch of undocumented update that we won't discover until new content is released.
Glad to report the constant Ctd experienced in b880 when plugins were trying to load seems to have been fixed. Good work ISI. @ rafnix do you have Auto Detail FPS set to anything other than off in game display settings as I found when I had it set to 60 and a lot of cars in view, certain body parts like suspension, wheels and glass wouldn't get rendered on opponent cars, I think it is to help performance.
I think that bug has something to do with Portugal track itself, it has many other issues as well such as low FPS. Probably nothing with this build.
Tim Wheatley, on startup of the launcher (at the moment on 880, about to auto-update) at the bottom in the "news" section (underneath welcome, enjoy rFactor2) it says "12/15 - Build 880 now available!" should be 906, but I guess you've figured that out by the first part of this post
the solved the problem, but now i cant use HDR Also in this build i'm not able to alt+tab, overall not a good build for me yet thanks for the help babs!
Sweet, so I'm guessing you just enter in the max torque your wheel can do here? So for T500RS we should be putting around 5.5 or so??
