Note: If you are updating from a build older than 798, we recommend a fresh installation - or - using auto update. This is due to the implementation of 64bit and a change in the folder structure. A manual 'install over top' update is not recommended from older than 798. If you are using 798, auto update or manual update (install over top) using the Lite installer should work fine. My online subscription has expired and i can't use the launcher update to update my game.... Shouldn't i be able to do this since last update??
Same for me. We should be able to use the Update tab as ISI changed his policy here. For now my Update tab stay blank (black in fact) and Update and Verify button can't be clicked (no reaction). I guess the auto-update is not ready and we have to wait? Does somebody with, or without current online subscription was able to use the auto-update feature of the Launcher? BTW: The tab still say current build 798, and : THANKS ISI for this new build!
I have used auto-update and it work as it should. Lifetime license. If i was remember right, if online subscribtion expired, you can't make auto update anymore via auto update button. You need to use lite version. Clearly auto update option is part of online subscribtion, which you pay.
It was in the past... Since 798 the auto update was available to everyone... If i can remember right....
They might have accidentally reversed it again, I have asked, but the dev is away today I think, usually he's on skype and he isn't right now. In the meantime, if you are on 798, you could download lite and install it over the top.
It would be wrong to say lifetime or no updates of content without subscription ? Build updates maybe but new content i wouldn't offer. I know it will annoy some people but wouldn't only be fair for ISI ? View attachment 14286
"Experimental interface for dedicated server." Where, how? Only in Bin32 dir: "rFactor2 Dedicated UI.exe", but not work. The launcher starting the old dedi UI.
And before everything from soup to nuts gets attributed to this build, could you confirm whether any systemic physics updates are included, or not, like tire contact patch update, etc.? Build notes only refer to the ride height measurement change.
