It still needs to look much better...I changed some stuff, added some stuff, probably removed some stuff, more than likely need to change stuff some more, put back stuff I removed and remove stuff I added. Very much still a WIP! It's only the Classic for now. Once I sort out tyres for the other classes, I'll add them too. If you liked it for RF1, there shouldn't be much reason not to like it now. Available (once approved) here in the "3rd party mods" section and at RFCentral (download link at rfc if you go to the WIP section) **edit... Here are up to date templates... http://www.majorparts.webspace.virginmedia.com/2014-Caterham-template.rar Ignore the wireframe for the roll bars, they have all been remapped, but the new mapping stays within the main colour block. The canvas is a wcextra2 material
Don't rev so high, go easy on the clutch, I glide and coast through the corners then brake and accelerate, I let the gears help me through the corners then the brakes. That works for me. (sorry that above is supposed to say "lift and coast")
Alright! I've been waiting for this since you announced that you were working on it but thought you'd given up, MP! I'm certainly glad you stuck with it. Many thanks.
You're all very welcome. I could have held off until all the classes had proper tyres, and all the remodelling/texturing had been done, but I just thought "well, it's driveable now"
i find both physics and graphics totally horrible, love the idea of C 7, but is both going to be significantly improved or is the physics going ot stay the way they are?
I could be wrong as I'm French, and English is not my native language, but I think WIP mean something like Work In progress which mean probably that this gentleman share his current work with us hoping some constructive feedback and remarks, and know he still have work to do before having a final release. Edit: I'm also interested with a link outside rFactor Central as I don't have an account here.
I said all along it could look better, but "totally horrible"? Show me a screenshot! The physics should be practically the same as in rf1, which went down very well and made up for the crap modelling.
