Sorry took me a bit longer to get in the neighbourhood of my rig. But tried both G4 and historic F2, both on default setup and i don't have strong rattle. having said that, i don't think it's your wheel but it could be my settings in controller.ini (sorry j_son) i have my settings like Paul Lothman as posted in the ffb settings to get you into the zone. My wheel (T500) rattles more on brianza 10k with the historic eve f1 than with the cars you have used on this track.
Just a small wip report on the upcoming update. DJC is trying to improve performance by adjusting the lods for the forests while I ruin his work as usually by adding stupid shadow casters (@DJC, I've removed the forests from the list). There are some places where the terrain should cast a shadow and I would like to see this fixed. I've sent a testversion to some helpful guys to figure out what's going on with the force feedback and the results look not to bad. At least I know now the rattling for the T500 users can be fixed by adjusting some tdf settings. If you are interested in the improvement of the force feedback please have a look at the Zolder thread and help wgeuze. There are now 3 tv cam groups (= a lot more cameras). I have modified some road textures and made some tattoos more visible. Some screens to showcase the shadow thing. Good Bad (Kesselchen, Mutkurve) Bad (Galgenkopf)
No worry Tosch, I managed to fix some of the shadows. Before: and After: Looks like this in 3dSimed3 (view from below looking upwards) I made a wall that blocks the sun, it casts shadows but it's not rendered in game. I made it level with the fence that is on top of the hill. (click) It's not perfect, but does the job. Took all day to just do a few areas so don't be surprised to find areas not done. (erm like 90% of the track) But I did do Galgenkopf area for you TOSCH to make you happy. DJC
I am. Thank you very much mate. I have no idea what I should do without your help. The next step would be reflection planes all around the track.... Ok ok, I shut up.
DjC is punished without league racing, so he has plenty of time to work on that Knowing he's looking to improve performance is great news, getting some stutters because of way too many trees to be drawn at some places.
Installed some much needed pit exit lights. The number of times I've exited under Red even though there was no bloody red light there
Thank you! Can't tell you how many times I got caught with a penalty for either blowing the non-existing red light or stopping in the pit lane while looking for the damn light. Cheers, JR
Dust? Can we maybe revisit having dust on the track? I was playing GSC the other day at the historic Interlagos oval. Its done very, very well. You can just barely see it. Surely we can achieve the same results in rF2. I'm sure everyone still has a bad taste in their mouth from the old dust but it was done so very, very poorly.
Maybe it is allready reported, the pitlane is very narrow. We tried to make Pitstops with the URD-EGT`s but it`s very hard to pass other cars while they waiting for there service. Maybe you could make the Pitlane a little bit wider and more space between the Pitboxes?
Any chance of having the GP Circuit added to the layout? It would be great if the circuit would become raceable for longer events, so the VLN or 24h Layout would be desperately needed for proper pitstops
Adding the GP was Pleclair's next step.. Not sure if we have the manpower currently. Maybe get some of the other modders involved.
