Free-move camera doesn't work as it should. It works in replay, but when driving and pausing the game and using trackside cameras for screenshots, only up, left and backwards is working. I can't move the camera forward, to the right or down. Very annoying if I want to take screenshots without returning to pit and watch replay.
That isn't an option, that's a manual process that requires us to do it when someone asks. See the FAQ: http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/rf2help/
Have a ? Tim? I went through Gjon and was ok'd for the lifetime, but when I click on my little rF2 tag it still says standard. This normal or should it say lifetime. Tx.
You'd have to be resynched or have me recheck it manually. You can post in the forum sync thread that's going and I'll get to it when I do the others. What it shows there won't update unless we update it.
Like I said, it works for me too, in replay. But when pausing the game in real-time, then go to trackside camera and it won't work. Did you test both replay mode and real-time?
Try removing the trackir plugin. I've had this exact same issue 3 or so times. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Ok thanks... I guess I could try to re-map it but it's strange that it works in replay but not live There's nothing more I can do really, because I have done a fresh install like always...
Sweet night become at Green Hell after a long race...now it´s amazing night drive mode. Good light feeling in all conditions, but better rearview mirror resolutions too?
Thank you Adrian, it was TrackIR that was the problem. I started the game without TrackIR and it works now. There are some issues with TrackIR and RF2. This one, and the other one is that the camera will start to rotate uncontrollable when using TrackIR and free move cam (because of this I have to decide if I'm going to take screenshots before I start rf2 and if I want to, I can't use TrackIR). I've seen this being mentioned several times. Do you know if this is something that will be fixed, Tim? Otherwise, this build works great so far. I need to check out multiplayer also, but in singleplayer I can only see improvements.
I`ve just thought of something... correct me if I`m wrong but I don`t think free cam does work when trying from a trackside cam... Doesn`t it only work from swingman view?
Using HDR with an nvidia SLI setup and multiview results in a 50% drop if FPS (compared to HDR off). I know this isn't new, but I'm going to beat on the drum.
Yes, where is the explanation of this? And did all the reflection issues get sorted out from last time? I am sorry to be a scrooge, but this seems like incredibly minor progress for a 2 month effort. I think there is a general expectation for significant updates more than once per year (we got them last time).
