290 have 2 modes, but both are uber, because with the uber swith in the 290 you choose bios 1 or bios 2... Maybe i explained bad, I dont have throttle on my card...my frecuency is always 1125 because and is working fine i made OC on the core and mem and give great results over gtx titan in bench and other games... The thing that is going up and down is the charge of the card, and that depends on the game, but for sure the thing that is not normal is going all time up and down 80 % and 30 %, that is like the game dont give to the card work to do... I Think that if ISI coders found the thing on the code of the game that makes that the charge is going up and down maintain it at 80% or more, the AMD owners will have all the perfomance of the cards..
Cant they read? Why does someone from the public need to spell it out to them, if isi employees don't already know what its caused by, or don't care than they arent worth 2bob imo
Read carefully this 3D, there are some settings to try that increase the performances of AMD cards to a very playable level. In short, if you are on triples don't use multiview, reflections on OFF (affects only the reflection map refresh, reflections are always on), shadows blur optimal, change the parameter "Transparency AA" to 0 on the .plr file. Everything else could stay on max, no problem. Visually you wouldn't detect any difference most of the time.
You are perfectly right, the most informed of us are saying this since many months ago. It is an ISI problem and they should solve it. We don't care if AMD is responsive or not if they care about little software company or not, the problem is in the ISI code and ISI should solve it. I payed good money to AMD for the card and ISI for the software. The AMD card DELIVERS on everything except ISI software so...
I see a similar behaviour just with some cars and i'm not sure if any gfx setting has an influence on but the open wheeler i actually have had tested don't show this behaviour. I really don't remember exactly what i did since i changed back and forth until i find one working for me on triples with one step lower resolution. The fps rate goes than up on max capped of 121 and down to ~ 60 just by standing in the box constantly and when the car starts to roll the max limit will be reached but anyware on track it happens again and the fps drop down to half,......some sec after, max again. This i get in practice mode and single car.
Build 379 is not better - possibly marginally worse - on my 7950. Seeing dips into the 20 FPS range now. Giving up on AMD entirely for RF2.
Yep, in desperate hope for performance improvement, but with same level of settings as 342 I'm seeing either no improvement, or marginally worse. Waiting to see how nVidia users are effected (hopefully not at all) before ordering a 780. It's funny because I can run ARMA3, Metro 2033/Last Light etc on ultra, 1080P with excellent performance all day long. Funny that some games have "nVidia: The way its meant to be played" at the start; RF2 should have: "nVidia: You have no choice really"
There is still little hope, even it is hardly to be expected but not impossible. This is with three screens and a resolution of 4800x900 (4900x900) and same replay but with the conditions customized settings. Some scores on Asus GTX 680 Direct CU II OC 2GB. The card comes factory OC'ed to 1228MHz (boost). Memory 6000MHz. Hi guys, here you have a personal test: ATI 5850 Toxic vs GTX 560. 5850 -> Avg: 107.333 - Min: 82 - Max: 131 560 -> Avg: 98.557 - Min: 63 - Max: 123 I expected the Nvidia was going to win, but not. I have to say for the test, I used the C6 (without other cars) at Lime Rock, and with all options graphics low save: HDR, antialiasing level 3, circuit and car medium and shadows high.
